There are many here among us that are born in 1962 and are currently 62 years old. 1962 1+2=3. 9 and 6. The 3,6,9 is everywhere when 0ne knows what 0ne is looking for, or at!!! Enjoy your day...be well!!
@@onesdrones3000 I was born on September 11th. In Jacksonville Florida. My mother taught Allen Collins when he was in fifth grade. My father was a Naval Aviator and is Bobby Weir's cousin. I grew up backstage and knew Jerry Garcia very well. In fact he and Bobby are the only two likable people in the band.
@@LeslieDevoe Wow that is a very impressive story and heritage. I'm sorry that they made your Birthday second to one of the most, awful, atrocious event on American soil!!!
Hey there, Stewie! Always love your videos. There’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you, but I haven’t had a chance. I have a young family member who is having trouble in school, so I bought him a 1/2 size electric guitar and amplifier. He played mine and took to it like a moth to a flame, so I figured it was a good idea. He said it was the best gift anyone had ever given him. He’s a little too young to grasp chords, so I put him in an open tuning, and that seemed to work better. But what I wanted to tell you was that I taught him how to feedback, and he absolutely loved it. I showed him one time, and that was it. It gave me goosebumps watching a young kid fall in love with THAT SOUND. I have no doubt that if he keeps at it he will just become a better and better person, and will no doubt do better in school as well. I even showed him the pictures of Lou Reed’s guitar that you sent me, and the picture of me holding it that you took at the festival. I told him that music can definitely take you places. He thought that was awesome. My wife and I are trying for a baby. My mother already told me she’s going to pay for piano lessons, which is great, because she bought me a beautiful piano as a housewarming gift, and I don’t want to be the only one who plays it. Hope you’re well, my friend. I would do anything to hear THE DRONES again!
That is fantastic. My advice and a video I will do soon, is showing people to tune a 12-string into "Ostrich Tuning" and then learn to play simple melodies first with thumbs like Hendrix and Lou in the beginning , then flip it over and play left handed too!!!
This is a follow on video from one before where I show and describe the guitar!!!! the guitar is featured in this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6LEah6kztdw.html
Put a shirt on man! You'll frighten the horses! 🙈😁 Greetings Stewie, i don't know how I found you but I'm a convert to the cause. Like many others here, I love watching you play guitar and hearing your stories. I look forward to lots more clips. Pip! Pip!
'Planet Earth is blue' was surely a reference to the general mood of people. Which is always, things should be better. An easy poetic hit for a lyricist?
I read the saying like this, "A Jack of All Trades and master of No one. It's a lesson in self sufficiency without the need, or desire to rule over any one other than oneself!!! It's ok to have an elf as long as one keeps it to ones elf!!!
@@onesdrones3000 i heard some where that it was the complete phrase but yes to what you say brother, i get that, not here for a competition, music is not a sport.. it's a spiritual quest! we are blessed if it chooses to speak through us.. it won't happen if you have ego, agreed.
@@onesdrones3000 we seem alike tbh, i try to be budhist about things now at this age lol, i can tell already, you are the last person i would feel any malice from just like you wouldn't feel it from me!
Grammer nazi or grandma Nancy? I bet you there was a Grandma that was a nazi about grammar. How much grammer can a grandma not see if a grandma was a nazi? Hows that? Pretty good? Lol. I dont know why RU-vid connected me to your video but it was interesting!
Sorry you lost 16 minutes of your life. 0ften there is something to be learned, although it never seems that way at the time. Enjoy your day...be well!!!
Thanks for the encouragement. Hopefully if I can get enough people interested then I'll do things live; which would be a lot of fun being spontaneous!!! Enjoy your day.
I agree. I'm a one man operation with an outdated iPhone. Perhaps think about in this way. "In DayZzz 0v 0ld"!!! We only had two things; radio , (no visual reference) and live performance. Yes one can see what the eyes think the hand is doing, but is the musician being observed in standard tuning??? The eyes are the weakest of the senses and it is the easiest sense to be deceived. Slight 0f Hand, Smoke N' Mirrors. Listening to verbal guidance, instruction, information,. This, along with developing the ear to determine what frequencies it thinks that it is hearing will pay dividends in the looong run!!! That you for your comment and a new video idea.
I recognize this one. It’s elegant in its simplicity and design, but that bugger packs a PUNCH. I seem to remember Lou liked to play this one through those beautiful Soldanos of his. Thanks for the video!
Well if you share this with other guitar players they will gradually use me as resource. I'm currently unemployed and obviously my Guitar Technician skills are solid. Computers mess with me and the short video time on my phone make me manic. When I get things rolling and get money to play an editor and get some proper cameras. Thanks for your comments this is the encouragement that I need...be well!!!
Would Lou be happy to know it’s being played? I hope so. Sounds like the intersection between geometry and an egg cream, I like it. Good intonation. Hey wait, now you’re talking particle physics, not geometry! lol
Lou loved to share his equipment and guitars with musicians. He believes in Magic. He also believed in The Power 0f Rock N' Roll To Change The World. He is happy that these babies are getting love!!!
“Knoodlin 0n” ~ Lou Reed’s ~ iNi ~ Ned Steinberger Guitar!!! Amped up after hearing Terrence Howard speak to Joe Rogan 0n The Joe Rogan Experience about “The Creation 0v Saturn”!!! Along with it’s Hexagon at the pole. The Hexagons are known to those in “The Pentagon” and The BeeZzz that BuZZzz N’ build HiveZzz. This is seen as super-efficient intelligent design. However, the design can be improved upon by going back to a Triagon!!! An Equilateral Triangle can be cut in half using a Tritone Frequency based 0n “The Fundamental”, 0r principal Frequency. For example: If the fundamental frequency is given the alphabet note name of “C” for identification, then, “The Tritone Frequency” will have the alphabet note name “F#”. The result of “The Tritone frequency” acting upon “The Equilateral Triangle” is that it produces “The Right~Handed Triangle and it’s mirror image, 0r what my be gleaned as “The Left~Handed Triangle. Each and everytime that a triangle is divided there are at least three possible triangles that can be produced. Thank you and a big shout 0ut to Pythagoras the bringer 0f “The 0riginal 13 Frequencies and the Birth 0f Modern Western Music, along with their various Triangle Relationships. A cord is a line that intersects a circle. One has three~cords and the Truth, 0r, alternatively “Three Chords And The Truth”!!! This is an exercise in Spontaneously building ideas…0r what I like to call FUN!!! Enjoy.
Here is an explanation in a video from three years ago. if you follow my four videos you will start to see it!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-454lE0pdo6k.html
Rabid Animal! When I did my C&G teaching basic skills it really helped me to plan out how I was going to get the ideas across; to clarify them, both for the student & for me. What I needed to say & what i needed to show, either by example (you playing) or by images (card to camera with the idea drawn out on it). Then when you just know it you can chuck it away 😅. The stuff in rules of thumb, about you ignoring the flats (or sharps), in circles of 5ths, 4ths, whatever, I get it that you just "know" it; but your student doesn't. So right there, can be confusion & the need for additional teaching on the scale you are referring to (&/or scales in general, which widens out the lesson or is another lesson or 50 entirely). Your Holdsworth etc digressions are great (there must be "a life in music" book in you!) but what happened to Messien's 3rd mode? 😆 BTW, I've played for over 50 years but my music theory is ###t!
