Great shave video and great looking razor. The Gillette “Psycho” Tech is just a nickname for the razor used in mental institutions and prisons. The real name is Gillette Security Razor. Keep the great video coming. 💈🪒🍦💈
I kno u have a channel strictly for shaving but i myself been de shaving for 5 years and what i have concluded is its all about the blades. I have every razor you could think of and for me they all work unless i load a poor blade. Its all in the blade and collecting razors is just a fun habit lol. Great vid
Thank you for this glorious channel, you got me started on the wet shaving but sadly I might not soon enjoy anymore due to my health. I say thank you now become will might never come. So I thank you now for all the review type videos
This razor is completely disassembled and that's cool. There are marks on the top middle and bottom plate. Three letters, H,L,S, which means HomeLike Shaving. Today shaving is obtained with russian products.) Glad you liked the razor and the soap. Good shave and good review, a good gift for everyone!) Many thanks.
Ken, as a few others mentioned, taiga is the thick coniferous forrest of Russia. It is essentially what we call a boreal forest, in the US and Canada, or a cold, swampy, high latitude conifer forest.
Great shave Ken, nice cooling finish to the shave. The razor looks lovely and well made. Will look forward to your next video. It will be great to see Monty. Have a great week. Very best regards Gordon.☺️👍👊🏴
Hi Ken- Great shave and razor review; thank you! Nice razor and a nice shave! Just to add to the list of things subscribers would like to see in the family-style video, a shot or two of the red Mustang would be great! I hope your week week is off to a great start. Take good care and be safe and be well. Best regards, as always, Ken!
Amazing the story of the razor key💪💪💪 I'll buy it once on your and Kevy 's review and also for the key story, completely different and disassembled from Ambassador
Hey Ken, great shave....can't believed you found your coin! Anyway I have a request,.a small one,can start doing a wrist watch check? I would love to see your collection, maybe you can make a video one day of it. Hope you had a nice President's day! Have a good one. Thanks and Best Wishes!
That Razor is adjustable without open it up. Same with the Futur, the flexi and the Rex. Reason for the possibility to put the bottom part out is the possibility to put all parts apart cause you can change the closed comb plate to an open comb! plate
Very nice Video Ken 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 It’s funny was talking about you to Douglas from PAA regarding Cecil Hotel soap and such a high demand I said ohh yes I seen KenSurfs making a review about Soap and Hotel which I never knew about.. Anyhow take care & Be Safe Alan H
@@kensurfs 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼as always Ken great to see you and shaves mind you we have similar dens lol except I got too many WW brushes lol I’m getting one from Peter soon with Interobang Shape and flutes at the bottom Timberwolf Knot 25mm.. it’s my last WW brush for my 40th B-Day☺️ Take Care Alan H
It interesting that you mention the psycho. I just recently learned about that razor series. There definitely an interesting item. I saw the name and had to learn more.
Ken💈💈nice shave. I was told this Taiga razor can be completely disassembled for thorough cleaning. The handle should be "tight" even when adjusting the number ring. Soap looked to work good. No issues equals a good result. Polo a plus. Great video, thanks. Enjoy!
Yes definitely smaller, back then a 50p piece kept you in sweets for a week with a tin of pop. Doesn't even buy a small chocolate bar these days so devalued to now.
Ken , Razor Emporium have a video saying not to clean razors in Barbercide . I don't know if You have seen it but You might want to look into it ?? stay safe
Hi Ken, I just saw an ad for a cartridge razor from a company called Shavelogic and I do not see any reviews on it yet.... in case you want to look into it. It is a 5 blade cartridge, so probably not my thing.
Great video as ever Ken. I’m new to the double edge shaving game and only switched from cartridges in the last few months. I’ve definitely caught the bug, and already collected a Progress, Futur, Edwin Jagger and a Gillette Fat Boy! I would love to see a comparison between this and the Rex Ambassador and Pearl Flexi. I have a V2 Flexi and it’s my birthday next month so tempted to take the next step and order one of the others. That said I love the Flexi so if they aren’t that big an improvement I will hold out and go for something else to add to the collection. Any advice over which you prefer?
Those boys over in Russia know how to make guns that are easy to use, clean and that last; razors should be a breeze. I don't normally collect adjustables unless their vintage Gillette, but I'm going to consider this razor. (That adjustable Pearl is just no good.) Keep the good content coming and please stay safe my friend.
I have an old Soviet era razor, of course idk the exact model, but its a 3 piece, closed comb, with rather short knurled handle. I tried the Voskhod blades that came with it and they were no good, so I switched to a Gillette silver blue or platinum, and it worked great. But I don't really shave with it often , the handle is too short for my liking.
HomeLikeShaving never has the razors in stock when I visit their website, I have emailed them several times, they say it will come, that's months ago, I gave up.
Go with Taiga. Like tge forests in both North America and Siberia. In my mind I use Ticonderoga as my example for pronunciation. Ti(condero)ga... Taiga
Hey Ken, I laughed our loud when you found your English coin! Btw - have you ever tried the Feather AS-D2 DE razor? I’m thinking about purchasing that, but was comparing it with the Rex Ambassador. One is obviously adjustable, where the other is not. Would love your insight on that!
Old Taiga had Open Comb option.....if they drop it and price similar.....NIET....better the REX....immediate satisfaction....no Russian roulette waiting for Boris mail. It certainly looks cool.....I missed it last yr. Cheers
Hi Ken. This "Taiga" looks like a terrific razor, optically and technically. I don't know if you are aware of what the Original "Cresta Run" is. I am Swiss and I lived there for over ten years, regularly watching these impressive races. Have a look at these two interesting links: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cresta_Run www.cresta-run.com/home/ Nice video and nice shave. Have a great week. Regards, Patrick
With the bottom of this razor being removable, is this razor easier to clean and maintain than normal 2-piece razors? Also, is this technically a 3-piece, even though it opens like a 2-piece? Lol
