Junior 6’3 254 lbs
USC DE Drake Jackson is a freak of an athlete. Someone as big as he is shouldn’t be as quick as he is. Like the top pass rushers Kayvon Thibodeaux, Aidan Hustchinson, Travon Walker & Jermaine Johnson, Drake Jackson gets constant pressure on QBs & is a handful for offensive linemen. Currently, he’s getting a lot of mid-1st round to 2nd round hype. Jackson is a player who could end up putting up better numbers in the NFL than in college because of the lack of coaching he received.

USC DE Drake Jackson is known as “The Freak” because of his freakish athleticism. Someone his size shouldn’t be able to do some of the things he can do. As a USC fan, I can honestly say that the old coaching staff did not utilize Jackson to his potential. He’s better than his stats show. Former USC defensive coordinator Todd Orlando had Drake drop back into coverage way too often, which is something I’ll never understand. I'm not saying this because I'm a 9ers fan, but Drake Jackson might be the steal of the draft. He's easily 1st round talent top 25. IMO This guy just makes plays and now Lynch pairs him up with Bosa....That's like a cheat code in Madden.

@@burtknighten1873 True lots of edge rushers/olb drop back in coverage, see it all the time. But not everyone does it as effectively as he did on this clip. A player with this much raw athleticism and untapped potential will be coached up nicely by any NFL dline coach... but when Kocurek gets his hands on Drake, I'm getting Aldon Smith type vibes here!

His nickname suits him well. He is a freak of nature. I don’t think that I have ever seen a Defensive lineman create more chaos coming out of college. He was sacking QBs, causing fumbles and picks. I can’t wait to see what he does opposite of Bosa. Great pick for my Niners!

This kid is fast and has ball skills for a DE . This guy would fit perfect in the old Giants Nascar defense. If Steve Spagnola still on the chief's He could end up there easy. With Pass Rushers at a premium, why isn’t this guy in most mock drafts as a late first rounder? He especially fits for Teams who play 3-4 base defense. I.e. Pittsburgh Steelers… same question arises with Sam Williams from Ole Miss , another late first rounder in my opinion.
