Residents of The Woodlands know very well where Houston is and that they are in the Houston metro area. However - the title of your video reads like this - “The Woodlands” Houston Rich suburbs This appears as if The Woodlands is a section or of Houston, which it is not. Try fixing your title to something that makes sense.
One other thing, the United States Office of Management and Budget considers the Houston metro area Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land. Meaning The Woodlands is a principal city of the metro area and not a suburb. It’s like calling Ft. Worth a Dallas suburb and or Ft. Lauderdale a Miami suburb which is incorrect.
I think you now see the reason why people say there are trees everywhere. No place is allowed to clear cut the property. We need more master planned communities like this that are more family oriented.
Your running commentary is lacking in interest. Nobody gives a flip what the pre-Hank Hill character's name was. Get on with whatever your point is. To the female who's part of this, those were NOT apartments. Those were high end townhouses. Driving around The Woodlands mall and Market Street is not the be-all, end-all of The Woodlands Township. You missed huge areas with parks, lakes, golf courses, and so much art and sculptures throughout. Just driving the short route you did was not a good representation of The Woodlands. Fun Fact: The Woodlands is a township, not a suburb of Houston, or anywhere else. They have their own municipal leadership.
I lived in Panther creek from 89 to 94. i went to high school there and it was so much better than the schools on the east coast. no ghetto non sense. it looked the same on 45 but everything is new to me once you turned off. its probably even better. i loved it. one of the draws is everything is hidden. go look at 179 n crimson clover. thats my old house. if you lived there you would know
the rap song “Hip Hop Saved My Life” by Lupe Fiasco he mentions The Woodlands. He’s a raps about a Houston rapper who made it, and put his momma in a home “In the Woods”
Wished you could have driven just a little bit further on Woodlands parkway- across the lake - maybe visited the neighborhood around the lake area , then continued on Woodlands Parkway to view the Sterling Ridge area. Carlton Woods is also another great part of The Woodlands to view ❤️ Thanks for your video - stay safe ❤️
Good attempt at what you were trying to do, but you weren't in the Woodlands until 4 minutes into your video. Once you came off of The Woodlands Parkway flyover, you entered the woodlands at that point. Prior to that you were in unincorporated Montgomery County also known as Spring Texas, not to be confused with Spring, Texas in North Harris County. (Mike Judge voiced Tom Anderson on "Beavis & Butthead" which was a similar vocal style to Hank Hill on "King of the Hill".) I do not understand why you turned North on Six Pines then East on Timberloch then North on Woodloch Forest. (A job is something you do to make money, a career is something you do that you enjoy and in turn make money.) The Woodlands Mall was next, then you crossed Six Pines over into the Market Street area. You did not show any of the Woodlands Waterway as it begins where you turned at the mall in front of Cheesecake Factory and extends a mile and a half and west of Lake Robbins which you also missed. I recommend a walking tour but not in this heat. Also why did you turn on Gosling and head north when the Woodlands was to the South. Gosling takes you North to 242 which is barely The Woodlands. You then turned East on 242 which takes you out of the Woodlands back to Interstate 45. Once you went East of St Luke's Parkway you were in Conroe. The Woodlands Parkway is nearly 10 Mi long between Interstate 45 and 2978. At 2978 you would have had to turn either North toward Magnolia and Lake Conroe or south toward Tomball. I truly hope nobody watches this thinking that's what the Woodlands is cuz you miss so much did you know there's over 40 pieces of individual art scattered throughout the Woodlands?
The woodlands is a great area. The Houston metro is soooo expansive that there are a plethora of suburbs and townships. Sugarland, Pearland, League City, Clear Lake, Cypress , Kingwood etc, etc. I didn’t mention Katy because I think you went there before.
I wish you would remember my special request I've sent yesterday via email. ❤thank you I love how you guys make us forget that we're watching a road trip video 🌹love the comments and frequent switching between English and Spanish!
The Woodlands is pretty due to the trees, shopping and restaurants, but the constant road noise and hum from all the surrounding highways kills it for me. Plus, I-45 is on the most deadliest highways in the nation top 10 list. Living in Houston for 42 years, I absolutely hate driving on that freeway. I much rather drive I-10.
That lady who suggested you buy Brooks sneakers is basically just telling you that cause Brooks are one of the most popular running shoes.I run marathons but I’m not skinny and I would suggest you look into Hoka sneakers. The full name of the brand is Hoka one one,I use the Clifton model and they are the most cushioned lightest shoes you will find.Brooks are okay, the Glycerin model is the most cushioned one but I’ve had like 8 pairs of Hokas and they’re my favorite, for heavier people they’re the best.Remember Hoka one one Clifton model. There’s a model that’s more cushioned the Bondi, but it’s heavier.
Not sure who in Texas or houston pissed in his cup but he clearly has a vendetta against Houston bcuz it seems everything tht comes out his mouth is negative && pessimistic if you feel tht Houston is tht bad then dnt come here simple🥱🤷♂️💯
i worked at the busiest at&t in the woodlands and although it is beautiful and a lot of things to do there, the majority of the clientele we had were old, uppity entitled folks. don't miss it one bit lol
Not sure if this is still a trend , but I use to read articles speaking on a huge influx of wealthy mexican nationals buying homes in the woodlands in cash.
We found that out when we moved to the then newer section of The Woodlands about 12 years ago. Almost our entire neighborhood was bought up by nationals and most of the houses remained empty and unused. I had neighbor tell me the reason was the houses were meant as safe houses if ever the families were threatened by the cartel and had to leave Mexico. I do believe there were cartel affliated people that flocked here. Carlton Woods, the gated community, was called Cartel Woods by locals. I myself met some sketchy neighbors who had millions of dollars of cars and ever changing stories of their names and occupations, where they were from, etc. About five years ago, I noticed alot of those houses were being sold. Alot of those become investment properties. Neighborhoods started going down, crime up.
I’ve been to the woodlands a few times visiting houston it seems to be a very nice area although houston has a lot of nice areas however the woodlands ain’t Las Vegas or Beverly Hills it’s more community family oriented IMO it’s laid back it’s kinda like Alpharetta ga in metro Atlanta
I'm still waiting on a final definition of a Real Job ;-) ... I'm a size 16 so a well made shoe is crucial .. amd well made shoes do last longer and cost more
You should do West Lake Hills outside of Austin. It is beautiful af and fully unaffordable. 🤣🤣🤣 There are public schools in Texas that are nicer and better than any private schools in the state. Westlake is one such school.
Like really really really from the Woodlands! NGL, the suburbs are NOT where it is at anymore. When I was a kid, the Woodlands was really nice. It is master planned and irritating in my opinion. The REAL money in both Houston and Dallas is in the little pockets IN the city. River Oaks, University Place, Bellaire. In Dallas, you have Park Cities. The suburbs are absolute hellscapes. It’s just a sprawl of boring people with kids on drugs.
I'm looking for work construction I tried alot of places already and no luck anyone know where they hiring hard times need work single father..I'm Baytown
The thing about CA, long huge state, brown from drought. Totally different between northern, southern and central. Southern more beaches and palm trees, central more agricultural, northern more mountains and green. Completely different from each other. Great Mexican food everywhere. Central CA very hot and dry. Very diverse. Lots of wine country, beautiful vineyards. LA don’t like, tons of homeless there, also in SF and Oakland, don’t like those areas. But the freeway 280 going north towards SF is beautiful in the winter when the hills r green. CA has a lot of wineries.
I lived in the woodlands, and my experience as a black woman living there with her children is... It's a great place if your white! From a white perspective the demographics are GREAT because there aren't 'too many minorities' but enough racism to push them all out :)
A metropolitan area or metro is a region that consists of a densely populated urban agglomeration and its surrounding territories sharing industries, commercial areas, transport network, infrastructures and housing
Whoever these people are do not know what they are speaking about when it comes to the Woodlands. You guys are misinformed . Leave if you feel Houston is not where the two of you want to be. You guys sound like you are now in the real world and trying to find your way.
