My father was multi term county sheriff, my father in law was chief of police after retiring as an assistant warden in a federal penitentiary. Another relative was head game warden in a state my aunt retired as a county dispatcher. I have met many good officers, these are not good officers. All need complete retraining or dismissal. The difference between the UK and the US. The UK has a central gov. office that sends letters out to all the police stations in the country. After enough of lawsuits over the violating the citizens rights, the head office sent out memos to ALL the police stations. Here in the U.S you still have all these police stations throught the country operating independently without these officers getting updated about citizen's rights and lawsuits happening. I like your timing when asking for names and IDs. When you wait until mid-conversation to ask for ID, they usually seem more willing to give it. When cops are asked for ID right away they tend to get defensive and feel as if the auditor is being unfriendly (which they aren't but this is just how cops think).

Americans are ruled by rules and in most every rule the constitution is ignored. This is every state, America is ruled by rulers when in fact the constitution was written in a way that was never supposed to happen. If law makers passed a law that’s unconstitutional then if the Supreme Court got the case from public Joe they would always rule in favor of the people knocking the law back as void til rewritten or abolished. Thank God we’ve got a Supreme Court today that’s conservative dominated. If the court ever becomes dominated by socialist democrats appointed judges then what little freedoms Americans have will vanish and the rulers and the enforcers they hire will be in happy, happy land. The constitution is the law of the land but it gets in the way of the power hungry rulers and they hate this. These cops have no idea, they are followers of the rulers. We the people are their enemy, average people are comfortable in the corner of comfort therefore they don’t care. They just keep on allowing the government to restrict them without any thought because the tyrant rulers know as long as it’s done slowly over time the public doesn’t get all worked up.
