@@gameodemosthene9252 yes of course, I wanna know how a pro climber uses toilet paper. He might use it as a sloper or even crimps the folded toilet paper for more stability. We can only find out with even more Magnus
@@alexandernils2388I thought all climbers heel hooked the sink Whilst crimping 6mm squares of toilet paper because it’s super good enough for the environment Edit : I almost forgot about the power screams
Honestly, I've missed these old-school Magnus videos so much! I might even enjoy these more laid-back climbing videos even more than the extremely high-quality main channel videos... hard to choose though, both are great!
As one of the og fans - Im so happy to see a return to videos of just you climbing. Even if you feel weak, your 6/10 is better than 98% of the people who watch your videos. We just like to watch you climb!
Magnus I think you're going to find that this channel and this type of content from you is going to gain a massive following quickly if you keep doing it weekly. Love your new stuff too but I gotta be honest, this is the stuff I think a lot of us really like. And yes to trying the 8C!
Magnus, great to see Hannah back on the channel! As a fellow routesetter, it would be really cool to see a video where you two set together/where you film her setting process. Love the new channel!
Hey man, I'm glad you don't have to worry as much about "clickbait", thumbnail, etc. for this channel. Please keep posting whatever you feel, whenever you feel like. For the record, I don't even climb but I still watch all your stuff, because I love the vibes and your ahtleticism.
This probably sounds not how I want it but this is my favorite video you have posted in a long time. I love the more vlog style it feels more personal and seems like a good avenue to show things you are currently more passionate about. I think it might be cool to do the vlogs as well away from climbing and show some other things you find interesting or enjoyable!
Tour of a new gym, an appearance by Hannah--it's like we are all 6 years younger again all of a sudden! ❤ Other than the threat of tiny Midtbos coming for Hugo 😂
Agree with everyone else that this is the content I miss. Would be thrilled with a climbing trip vlog! My favorite content from you was your trip to Arco back in the day. Pizza, gelato, drinks, and hard sends outside. Also, a climbing trip with Emil would be so fun to watch. I feel like you guys would push each other.
Congratulations on the success of Rugne! Always a good problem to have when you've outgrown your current space! Have you ever considered going through a hard training block again and climbing outside? It would be really interesting to see your training progression and projecting something hard.
I have a feeling I will enjoy this channel way more than the main channel. This feels like back to the roots of when I first subscribed and became a fan.
This is super nice. I appreciate the laid back feeling and tempo of the video, and it was also great to see Hanna again on the channel! OG vlog feeling is very nice 👌
Beautiful gym. Very sophisticated interior design, wall color, lighting, even the hold colors. Some gyms are pretty vibrant and loud, this seems like a very inspiring place to just have a focused session.
I actually prefer these videos over the other channel. I'm as Magnus said, one of the "OG" viewers. These feel authentic and less polished, like they were back in the day, like hanging out at the gym with your mates.
I traveled to Norway two years ago. My impression of Oslo was that I needed to live here for some time to feel the city a bit more. Now I have more reason to go and live for a couple years.
Its amazing that Magnus can do a 5x dyno while I fail to coordinate walking the sidewalk in a straight line and Watch the video at the same time. Thanks for the new channel!!
I enjoy seeing you just making videos about what you’re passionate about without having to chase an algorithm. I feel like on this channel you shouldn’t worry too much what people want to see but rather release what you enjoy making.
Usually don't comment on videos but I just want to add my thanks to the pile. I am extremely happy and proud that your main channel has gotten to where it is now but this is the kind of video that got me into climbing.
Happy to see Hannah back on the channel! Still rocking the climbing world, as a mom and a route-setter. I'm late to this video, but for what it's worth, I'm much more interested in these videos than the "flashy" ones on the main channel. Make what you want, like you said, and enjoy it.
It’s cool that you thought to do this. With everything you have going on, it’s surprising you want to start another channel, but glad you’re doing it. As a climber, I’m enjoying these videos more than a lot of the main channel videos!
I value this style of content so much, it is so special that you are still creating this even with the level your platforms have reached! I can't imagine it is easy to make such raw, human, and laid-back videos with the pressure that accompanies the fame you've accomplished so I want to be clear in expressing my deep appreciation for it! THIS is what originally made RU-vid beautiful and there's no reason we can't reclaim that :) It was also these videos of yours that got me into climbing in the first place, so the nostalgia is precious as well!
I think it's clear by the reception received that we all really appreciate this kind of content, so happy you've made this channel and I hope you're enjoying making these videos as much as we are enjoying watching them. Thank you!
This style of video is perfect! A little tour, seeing some old/familiar faces, some climbing, and a brief peek behind the scenes. Love it bro. Get on that 8C! Can't wait to see the videos with you and Adam!
I'm so glad you decided to make this channel. I love these types of videos and I know many others love them as well. The no pressure, laid back videos of you talking and climbing are amazing!
Been a sub on the main channel for 5 or 6 years and while your videos there are super fun and interesting, I am glad you decided to make a 2nd channel that focuses on climbing a bit more again. Would love to see an oldschool climbing session with you and your sister
Wow magnus as an og watcher this really takes me back, this style of videos are perfect reminds me of the main channel years ago amazing idea to do this channel !!
I love that this channel exists for the less main channel friendly content, Magnus is an inspiring climber and it would be a shame not to share more of that.
I am fully aware of the parasocial relationship here, but I am very happy for Magnus to have this new channel now where he can do more of what he likes, its probably very healthy to have this output. And I really like this content, especially the more slow and laid back approach. It feels like a more private conversation, that is for the more climbing enthusiastic people and less for the broader audience of the main channel. That gives me a very good vibe. Looking forward for more to come! :)
To clarify; I also enjoy the other content and he's most likely also having fun with it haha. But what I wanted to say with that was; if you get an itch as a creator and it feels like you cannot do something anymore for one or the other reason it seems like over time it would be very demotivating, so this is great!
We knew what you meant. Also calm down, dude it’s okay to love a content creator it’s not parasocial either if he literally asks us to comment what we think on the videos. You aren’t weird or special calm tf down
@@dreeph What bugged you to be this aggressive for literally nothing? Sorry if my writing style offended you but that seems to be a "you" problem? :) Also your interpretation of my intentions and thinking was off but that's alright, next time I do another comment to further clarify just for you!
I wouldn't worry about the parasocial aspect. It's something he's actively encouraged since the early days. In an interview last year he even said that he wants his viewers to feel like they're watching a friend. I like that that's the vibe he's going for. As long as nobody crosses the line into actually thinking he's a friend, it should all be good.
@@boogaloo4640 That's interesting info, I guess his aim worked with me then haha! I didn't saw that interview, you don't happened to know where you watched or heard it? :)
Magnus your the reason so many enjoying climbing, and as you say when you feel weaker you don’t want to climb, but as you inspire us to climb, if you do it when weaker and you show your struggles, it just makes us relate more to you and we all love your content and showing us behind the scenes is really nice. Thanks for showing us around and great to see your sister back so many years later.
Glad to see that Magnus also thinks that giving up on grading is not ideal. It's just such a lazy cop-out for the gyms so they don't have to deal with all the whining and drama that comes with trying to do the hard job of actually trying to grade stuff.
Yeah I wish all gyms would still grade climbs. My gym currently does a grade range which is nice until they get to the v6-v8 the V8-v10 range. That’s such a huge margin!
I am half and half on this. On one side the gyms I go to that grade it is awesome to know that I just sent X grade, or this climb is my level to work on. But other gyms that don't are kinda cool too because I will at least try that one climb that looks cool and suites my style even if its 2 grades above my level, but with that said at these gyms are much smaller than this one and they say ask the staff if we wanna know the grade on one we sent.
Style matters so much more than grade at all levels, so I definitely prefer gyms that set ranges instead of grades, so long as the range isn't so large as to be useless
I think a range of 2V grades is optimal. Also i think it would be a cool idea for larger gyms to have an app where people can vote on if the difficulty of climbs is alright. So after like 10 votes and if the average suggested grade indicates a sandbagged grade or a too generous grade it can be adjusted. It could also come with a map where you can filter for grades and stuff, and a rating system for enjoyability. My gym is fairly small so if you are a regular you just know all the setters and they will ask you about what you think of their routes and stuff and they then adjust grades.
I am LOVING this channel's video style Magnus. Love seeing behind the curtain on Rúgne, the new gym and of course more climbing. I hope more of these chill vlog style videos can be a thing
You've done such an excellent job building a space for yourself and your family / friends inside a passion you all share - truly making moves out there dude, wholesome.
I have been climbing a month now, doing about 2 sessions a week. I am hooked on climbing and going to buy my first pair of climbing shoes next week with a buddy that has years of experience climbing to help. I really love your videos and wanted to say your my favorite climber to watch. Both channels are great!! Keep up the good work!
