I meant to say that people have heard cut drafts of songs like “In Vain” or “Appetite,” which were the songs that captured the same moments as “Get in the Water” and “Not Sorry For Loving You” BEFORE those songs existed!! 🙌🏼💙💙💙 :)))

The more I learn about the cut songs of Epic, the more I realize Jorge’s process is basically Step 1: create fun boppy song Step 2: “yeah but what if we added more angst?” Step 3: rewrite with more angst and drama Step 4: repeat steps 2 and 3 until perfection

Excuse me, rap battle between Athena and Aphrodite? I must hear this. I imagine Athena disses Aphrodite for her horrible weaving skills (there is a canonical myth where they duke it out and Aphrodite fails horribly) and then Aphrodite retaliates how she feels so bad for the poor Athena who could never enjoy the happiness that comes from loving someone, even in a platonic way, to which Athena then responds that she actually does have friends (Telemachus, son of Odysseus).

Elpenor being such a major character to being absolutely forgotten just like in the stories is hilarious

Also the unnamed Telemachus song had SO MUCH POTENTIAL IM SO SAD ITS GONE :((

I looked up “Let Me be Your Light” and listened to it right after “The Underworld.” Don’t do that unless you want to cry-because it makes Polites’ part in “The Underworld” hurt so much more. I’d love to hear it in its own saga!

The snippet of Telemachus' cut song is what initially pulled me into EPIC, and I'm not only interested in hearing the full song but getting to understand what that moment in the story was going to be. I think that'd be the coolest aspect of a Cut Song Saga, is seeing other interpretations and aspects of the story that didn't quite make it in.

It’s a traumatic experience to hear Monster like that!!! I know it by heart now, and to think it may not have been as dark scares me.

The process for these seem so interesting! The "early" bumpier version of the Monster chorus caught my attention hard, it's so... opposite of how it is now. One of my favorite parts of video games is cut or unused content, so this scratched a similar itch lol

The songs i'm really interested in are "The God Games" songs, because i'm interested in when would they happen in the story, and where they would lead, but I would also like to know how the full versions of these songs would sound.

I would love to have a Forgotten Saga one day in the far future but I also understand having “sketches” of the beginnings of this epic journey and those are precious and private. You’re right. They’re very raw and thrown together being the basis of an idea, but they’re beautiful in that way - and keeping them to yourself is completely the way to go at times. Whatever you feel Mr Jalapeño, I look forward to seeing what’s next for this incredible project

I saw a video of you talking about some gods that don't appear in God Games and what their musical style would be like. If you end up doing a cut song saga, a cool inclusion could be an alternate take of God Games using other gods than the ones featured. It would definitely be more work than the other cut songs, but still a very nice inclusion.

Thank you for indirectly explaining that the clip I saw a few times that I now recognize as being from “Appetite” was cut! For the longest time, I could not understand why none of the “Epic: The Musical All Clips as of [date]” videos included it!
