miss the past pre woke times very happy there are still directors like villeneuve, eggers, scorsese that dont cater to this woke culture, at least we have many great pre woke movies to enjoy and rewatch.
Woke is not liberal. A lot of liberals are woke, but most liberals are not woke I am a social democrat but I hate woke agenda and signalling. And yeah woke is going the extreme way of 1984
@@thevarietychannelofyoutube4769 pro or anti LGBTQ+ does not come in to it. I see LGBT as a fact, you can't be against the science. No the woke I am referring to is the political part of the queer movement, the post modernist, neo-marxist group of people that think they can change society by destroying nerd culture, because that is the vehicle they got their hands on. That woke movement is a fundamentalistic movement that does not allow criticism. And they are so wrong, in everything they do, I can't wrap my head around it, that they think they are fighting the good fight while all I see is evil.
A lot of people today forget that society and culture and thus by extension Hollywood used to be more conservative, but only because people in power were conservative, and not because society for the most part necessarily was. If you go back far enough, you will see the reasons you could be blacklisted in Hollywood which involved any sort of view or stance even remotely seen as "communist" (which a lot of people today are sadly bringing back), things like the Hays Code which sought to impose Christian conservative morality in films, and which was spearheaded by a conservative member of the Republican Party, gay and trans people had to live hiding in fear because they could be jailed or killed, women could not speak out about things like domestic violence and marital rape and many other issues, black people were segregated and faced things like redlining practices, the effects of which we *still* see today, and there were pervading racist sentiments towards specifically non-white foreigners, but for some time had even included Italians and the Irish, just to name a few of the issues that plagued this country for many many decades. And for the longest time, to get to the point, you wouldn't be able to tackle ANY of that in a film, you couldn't depict any of these issues or topics in media, and over time, though some people would think and prefer otherwise, progress has allowed us as a country to examine a lot of sociopolitical issues in media that we couldn't before. I agree that there is a way to do that that isn't preachy and is well done, well crafted, but you will find a lot of people feel uncomfortable with the fact that those things are talked about at all, which is why you see people decry things as "woke" without engaging, as if saying something is "woke" says everything you need to say as to why something may or may not be well made or well written. They automatically dismiss things when labeling them as "woke", and can't articulate why exactly it's bad, and this not only covers things that I feel like are made specifically to generate outrage or controversy (who even liked the new Velma series for example?) as well as media that may say something you don't agree with but isn't beating you over the head with it.
No group in the western world is marginalised except straight white Christian men... also, the movie industry has always been inclusive and diverse. So, those far-left talking poi ts are completely wrong. Just lke when the woman from the Hunger Games was literally saying that she was the first female in a leading role...lol
We can't even be sure that the actors we are looking at are actually male, or female. People of status, royalty, politicians, and others of status, and wealth are a part of the globalist elites. All through history it's been known that they are Baphomet worshippers, a transgender god. Do you really believe this woke garbage appeared overnight? How can anyone ignore the deeper implications here? The Roman Catholic Church outlawed women performers. The Castrati were placed in that role. Young boys put under the knife, to serve the elites in all the roles they preferred they do. Knowing the perversions of the elites, just what do you think these Castrati were forced to do?
- Using the word "woke" as an insult in order to get views and clicks is very sleazy and transparent gritting - The term "woke" is used to refer to anything that the person using it disagrees with. It's completely meaningless. - Your more of a "snowflake" then any "SJW" if you can't enjoy a movie or TV show because of the skin color or sexuality of the characters
