First thing I do when I go to my mates house, or anyone house, is rush straight to the bathroom and investigate their toothbrush situation. If it ain't up to standard I ditch the friendship and leave at once.

When my mates come over for a beer I keep dropping hints about my electric tooth brush with the hope when they go to the bathroom they see it and get jealous so I feel better about myself

This is one of the most unexpectedly funny clips I've seen from this show. 1. Kelley thinks that people buy toothbrushes to match their bathroom decor 2. Kelley and Deborah haven't heard of toothbrush stands (also, won't it stand on the charger??) 3. Duncan thinks that electric toothbrushes don't need batteries 4. The owner thinks that anyone would pay $100 for a no-name toothbrush just because it's in a style that isn't available from a reputable brand But the owner isn't entirely wrong. I want a toothbrush that really expresses my personality. That's why I buy the cheapest pack of toothbrushes I can find (I'm thrifty) in any color they have (I don't care about appearance when it comes to disposable utilitarian items), and I'd never use electric because paying money to make myself more lazy is a lose-lose

Long battery life could of been pitched good for traveling, providing it lasts a few days/weeks. Most toothbrushes don't stand up, its only the electrics. Most use a toothbrush holder, cup, or just lay it on its side. Pitching is so important. He became defeated by those questions and lost confidence

Looked like he was holding back tears and shrugging off any doubts. He stood his ground tho and did a good pitch. Just his evaluation is questionable considering he hasn’t sold any of his items. But I agree with the option to stand the toothbrush...if it has at least came with a protective head and even maybe a little gold out stand from the stem that would’ve been pretty neat.

There are actually just two reasons why this business is uninvestable: 1) Valuation is too high. He has sold nothing and has a retail deal for a small value compared to valuation. 2) Very low market entry barriers for existing competitors. Once Oral B sees that this is a success (if it is) they will immediately implement their own better versions.

My daughter uses a "Gleam". Its colorful powerful and has replaceable heads. Cost 22 bux and she has had it a year and still works perfectly

You can get a Philips Sonicare Diamondclean for £100, comes with a charging case and charging glass, plus they're pretty stylish and have various editions. Doesn't look as though his toothbrush could compete with that.

A toothbrush doesn't need to stand up. It stands in a glass inside the bathroom cabinet. Then in a few years and lots of use, when the bristles resemble short and curlies, you replace it.

It looks like it didn't go ahead. He recently (2019) launched a successful Kickstarter for a children's toothbrush. Edit: Read the updates. Not as successful as you'd think. He had to refund almost all the money, it looks like.

This is another one of those crazy over-valued products that comes into Double D. 150k for 11% for a standard electric toothbrush with a fresh coat of paint on it and a slimmer design. I do agree with Kelly that there should be more black electric tooth brushes however I wouldn't pay 100 pounds for it.
