Oh, this really hit me. My son played acoustic guitar most of the time. He played 'Stairway to Heaven' so well and beautifully. He died in 2017. Wish I had recordings or video of him playing, but any out there are gone with his gf's phone.
Hi Pennsylvania Bigfoot Project, To echo what Joe Zec said in their reply, there's some small but nonzero chance that these videos still exist. You should ask the owner of the phone to go and see if her photos and videos have been uploaded automatically to a cloud. If she uses Android, they might be on photos.google.com/ , on drive.google.com/ , or available via takeout.google.com/ . I've never used an iPhone, but a quick google suggests that similar things exist for iPhone, like www.icloud.com/ and privacy.apple.com/ . Good luck! =)
It takes this kind of interpretation for me to appreciate what zep did...This brings out the melody and dynamics so clearly it makes me like zep even more.
Thank you! Solo is when you enter into your browser: Milos Pernica - Led Zeppelin-Stairway to Heaven on classical and electric guitar. If you like it, send it on. Well, if you send me mail address, I'll send you a version that I made / without solos / CD. All the best! Milos
Beautiful, sensitive, crystal clear, exceptional tone. Thank you. This is the best played version I've ever heard - in this style, and I now prefer this style to all others. Bravo!
It's really difficult to incorporate all of the singing melodies into the guitar chord progressions like that. I've seen a lot of people try to do that song and I think that is the best arrangement of it I have heard without a singer. Credit must be given to the great Jimmy Page for coming up with this most endearing chord progression. It's one thing to play a song well but it's another universe to be in to be able to create something like that. I was at this concert in 1985 to watch the master improvise beautifully through this song and there is no way to duplicate the intensity of the rock down to the ground guitar solo with just an acoustic guitar. Watch this to see what I mean.Led Zeppelin Live Aid 1985 3 Stairway to Heaven Stereo
First impression (before seeing this video) - wtf, what for mainstream... After video ----- OH MY GOOOD, can't believe, this totaly awesome cover, like a was listening to the original !!! Masterpiece !
Nice job! I found the voicings for the "And as we wind on down the road" climax (from 4:24 to 4:44) especially interesting. And I like the effect of the lighting.
How ironic that I came here from a search for performances of the classical piece 'Soledad' and found only very amateurish performances with no good classical tone or sensitivity, and now here is a piece written by a rock composer, played with beautiful tone, phrasing and sensitivity! Well done!
Page wasnt just a rock composer. He wrote everything from classical to blues. He was a studio musician earlier in his profession. He played everything that was handed to him. He became famous in the recording scene in london as the go to recording musician. He later had change of heart and didnt want to play others music anymore. He joined the yardbirds so he could begin to write and he became a composers whos had arguably more influence than bach
Absolutely beautiful, always love to hear music I grew up with through the strings of a classical guitar and performed by such a talented artist .Thank you!
many years playing guitar myself and I could only hope to reach the level and time you must have put into learning this song. good job, most importantly for me was that it sounded authentic although I understand why the solo was left out, but otherwise fantastic.
Excellent rendition of a great song. I especially like how the lyrical melody is interwoven into the original music rhythm. Definitely impressive to say the least.
Jordz Van 6299 I'm going for all fans Stairway To Heaven new version of the classic treatment for catarrh is Taby. :-) Enjoy, but please give me time. And thank you very much. Your Miloš.
never thought of walking up to the c chord with the first finger rather than the third to keep that a minor ringing as long as possible..vedy vedy nice cover man
It's my first year of learning Am learning classic / flamenco music I told my teacher I want to play stairway to heaven but he said no rock n roll xd I showed him this verse and he accepted now I can play it
beautiful. i will nevrr understand how people could be negative about this. very eell played with s unique approach. anyone who posts their work should be applauded, regardless of the quality.bravo to this guy anf all others who post their efforts. superb.
all i can say is that you did the BEST job at combining all parts of the song into a single instrument.... seriously amazingly beautiful performance....Zeplin is crying right now
Ghostprofessor: what a load of tosh......tosh i say sir, this rendition was full of emotion whilst sticking to the salient points of the piece (some people seem to confuse 'emotion' with 'completely making up your own version' (like a moustache on the Mona Lisa.....) Play it again and listen to it with your eyes closed. This bloke is very good. There are too many versions on YT who go completely 'off road' and ruin the whole premise, we clicked onto this rendition to hear THIS PARTICULAR SONG being played by SOMEONE ELSE, perhaps tastefully different but still paying homage to the original. A lot of paople used to bang on about John Williams not having any emotion and Julian Bream being full of emotion, this too was TOSH, John Williams' music was full of emotion, people confuse the LOOK of emotion with the SOUND of emotion in the music. Strange that no one does the same with vocalists: 'Eee that Katherine Jenkins - no emotion that girl but Susan Boyle, now that's emotion.........' Play Katherine Jenkins and then Susan Boyle straight away, you'll get what i mean. It's almost like it's an excuse for a poor technical performance. By the way: Julian Bream thought John Williams was a god.
Can we get some tabs? Or maybe a lesson from you? Anything!! This is amazing, please share with us, it would be a great honor!!! Never listen better, congratulations!
I'm a classical guitar player, and a huge fan of classic rock!Mostly the doors, because of the obviasly flamengo influences in Kreiger's music...but your version of this amazing classic made me push a litle further and exploit my habilities!thanks i realy enjoyed
and here i am complaining i don't have an acoustic guitar, FUCK ME, FUCK THAT SHIT, i will just grab my guitar destroy my fingers tryin to do the bar codes, AND LEARNING THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART, after all, all i wanted to do with my guitar was, just to play this song..
hermes trismegistus There are none. What, pray tell, is the modern equivalent of Stairway or Hotel California? Where is the band that can rock like AC/DC, or prog like Pink Floyd?
