The beginning sequence for this episode isn't just Nick imagining himself being bullied in Charlie's place. Nick is remembering Charlie being bullied after coming out and how he didn't say anything or do anything to stop it. They didn't know each other at that point, but Nick still feels bad that he stood by and watched Charlie suffer, especially now they're getting closer.

the comic itself mostly centered around Nick and charlie but its so nice seeing other stories, In the comic Charlie's sister does that shit all the time. she randomly shows up in the house when he's not really focused and I love it

I love how inclusive this show is! They really depicted how it feels to be an LGBTQIA+ teen perfectly. The confusion, the crushes, the awkwardness! It’s all spot on and it’s adorable to watch :)

When I first saw that the one girl who is with Tara has literally the name "Darcy" I got immediate Amphibia Flashbacks, and not the good ones.

When Nick and Charlie at the drums, notice how Nick's mind totally abandoned thinking about the drums and he just concentrated on Charlie. Lovely scene. The first little sparks of love seen here.

What's making my heart warm watching these reactions of people from the LGBTQ community is the pure welcoming feeling. You don't just get happy for your representation, you also feel happy with every LGBT representation, cheering for others' happiness and success, and it's really been a heartwarming ride.

The schools I went to were weird, I don't think there was much against LGBTQ+ or 'coming out', I knew some members of LGBTQ and I was Trans myself at the time and was discovering myself as a Aromantic Demisexual but my school was pretty open. The only ones who showed resistance against my feelings were my family and that was mainly against the transgender stuff. I think it is mainly due to Aromanticism and Demisexuality being...under the radar. The way Jaiden Animations explained Aromanticism and Asexuality was really nice and it personally helped me as well. I don't know if people know but Demisexuality is like a branch of Asexuality, meaning you only develop sexual attraction if there is this strong emotional bond with someone. But that's pretty much my story, but then again I haven't been around for that long so I don't know what the future holds.

I knew she was homophobic but I couldn’t hold it in anymore. She told my parents and I lost so much because of it. Your channel has been so comforting ever since. And now knowing that you went through something similar makes me feel amazing. Thank you so so much for all you’ve done! I love you!

I really like how they're taking things slow with them starting out as friends. I think that's one of the best ways to start a relationship. Everyone wants to go at light-speed with relationships these days. Sex first. Questions later. Can we go back to friends first? lol

Also one of the many things I love about this show is that they actually show there text messages on their phones instead of being at the very top. If you liked the lighting here, you'll LOVE it in #3. Yes, the lighting and cinematography is outstanding. Pay attention to the lighting in scenes with Ben. So far, when he has been with Charlie, the room was in shadow (maybe pale sunlight coming in from a window, but not bright). This will continue - every meeting is in darkness, except the last one later in the show. That will be outside during the day, but pay attention and you'll see only Ben in a shadow.

At 8:34 this reminded me of my first time going to the home of a boy I had a crush on. He invited me over for lunch one Saturday and I was nervous as hell going over. It was fantastic. We had a great afternoon together, but I felt the nervousness of Charlie when he was about to ring that bell.

The first scene where Nick put himself in Charlie's place imagining him in that hall was perfectly taken from the comic Cause in the comics Charlie didn't actually came out, he was pushed out of the closet Cause Tao was talking to Ottis in the School about being happy of how Charlie was openly talking to him and the others about being gay, not being ashamed and all, but he ended up saying it out loud, like, in the middle of school And word got out and suddenly everyone knew, and Tao was blaming himself and it's now a consensus among fans of the comics that this is why Tao is so protective of Charlie, cause he blame himself for indirectly pushing Charlie out of the closet

I put off watching Heart Stopper for a long time. Mainly out of fear for it being some kind of tragedy like so many gay and lesbian movies are. Even after I started watching I kept waiting for the hammer to fall and it hasn't yet. At least as far as episode 4. Which is were I am at. I really tear up watching this. I am 52 and wish I had had something like this when I was in high school

This series is warming my heart 😭♥️ I'm so sorry for what you had to go through in high school, it's already a hard time in life in general, going through things like this must be even harder. First, a girl introduced me to the comics in 6th grade on a czech seminar (yes, i am gonna tell the whole history 😂), so i got into it, read the comics multiple times to a point where my SUPER CHRISTIAN "bestie" mentioned me being obsessed. I started realizing around 7th grade that i might not be straight, cause i started catching some feelings for the, now trans boy, that introduced me to the comics in the first place, so i settled for bi. Then i started looking into pansexuality and realized, i am that! 😂 On Valentines day, i confessed to him, but i found out that hes aroace. That hurt a little, but i don't regret anything. Heartstopper made me figure out myself, but also others. It made me find out that my bestfriend is a homophobic biatch and it generally made me happier. Thank you for reacting to this masterpiece of a show 😊❤

At 4:40 I was shouting the same thing at the screen when Charlie sent that message to Nick. Did he really think Nick was going to come out to him in that text? Yes, I know he wanted a little bit of hope, but it just showed how much Charlie wanted this friendship with Nick to develop into something more serious.
