the deeper chirp comes with three different transmission cones or beam angles. a powerful feature that may seem confusing to some of you at first. this video is an extract from the world's first and only deeper online training course.
how to use the deeper chirp plus beam angles to find fishes. we will first do some basics on the three beam angles. so that we can use them effectively. the deeper chirp has three transmission cones that is three beam angles with seven degrees, 16 degrees and a wide one with 47 degrees.
if we compare the different angles then we notice the leap from 7 to 16 is not that large. on the other side from 16 to 47 is quite a big jump. a quick note whenever we mention predatory fish like, bass, pike or perch - of course it applies to any other predator or game fish as well.
let us take a quick look at the major differences at 3 beam angles. in this example we can only see this fish here with the narrow beam angle with the 16 degree beam angle. one more fish becomes visible. and with the 47 degree beam we can see the school of fish or school of roach.
a rather look at the wide transmission cone and beam angle in detail. with the larger transmission cone a larger area can be covered - hence more fish is visible. the more fish we can see the better. unfortunately the devil is in the details and that is what we will try to understand.
now we will use the wide beam angle and take this predator here for example. on the right side we have the depth range from 2 to 20 meters that is 7 to 66 feet on the left side.
our wide beam angle has a diameter of 1.7 meters or 5.6 feet in other words when the deeper is up here we can detect fish at a depth of 2 meters or 7 feet within a diameter of 1.7 meters or 5.6 feet.
think about it that means 6.5 meters or 22 feet from the center of the deeper towards all directions.
this is quite a large area we can cover with the deeper using the wide beam angle and it makes it possible to see clearly what is going on down there.
now one could assume that the wide beam angle is always the better option because we can see more fish. let us take this fish arch here as

My is new deeper device showing 27 ft deep when in a pool 3 to 4 feet deep?

if it is that shallow, the Deeper cannot show a correct depth. The path of the ping is too short ... From 2 m or 7 ft you have a good depth indication. At 3-4 ft the Deeper also makes no sense, because the transmission cone is much too narrow to indicate fish. Tight lines Martin

so i cant catch in a 2 meter deep water cause its too shallow for deeper to work properly

right, The Deeper does not give a good result in too shallow shallow water (2 m / 6 ft), because then automatically the narrow beam is used.

@@the-fishfinders1967 what about 10-20 feet? Is this a product that is only meant for lake trout at 40 ft depth or something? I don’t understand why it would default to narrow under 15 ft depth.

But the math doesn't add up for the entire diameter of the cone at the bottom.

You are right. The transmission cone is also not so static, and simply stops at a diameter of 8 m, for example. It is concentrated to the center and downward and weakens outward. The meters and feet are meant to give an impression of how the cone is constructed and how it works.

Incorrect. If there are 2 carp, 3 bass, and 4 salmon then there are three fishes. I lived in Germany for 3 years, they learn English from a young age, many of them speak it better than your average American can.

Why do you even have to be arrogant !?! Hello there are so many countries other than Great nation off america ! Did you know that average European know about 5 languages, why do you think that English is so superior that everyone have to know it perfect! From many languages, making direct translation many times sentence does not make sense, but people try, and i think he has done a good job. And be appreciative that he does that, so many can enjoy. I dont even care grammar, i totally understood what he ment, and many will agree that he has done more than a good job.
