Furious George is one of my Desert Island records. And the singer Kelly Keeling is amazing. He can morph into the original singers of the songs they cover in a way that is beyond belief.

There is another jem of a album, Where Lynch worked with Stephen Persey of RATT ,and covered RATT songs ,those are some badass versions, And I think the 2nd Lynch Mob album w/ Robert Mason gets overlooked , that was great album as well .

Supposedly George lifted one of Warren DiMartini's amps because it sounded so good. It is ok because Warren lifted George's style!

He did it as a joke, was running out of the house with the amp so Warren could see. They are buddies. Those parties must have been out of this world!

How can it be that Lynch knew nothing about Mike Varney at the time? You'd think that his own bandmate Jeff Pilson mentioned _something_ about him.😆 According to Pilson's bio: ========== He moved to San Francisco in 1978 where he met up and became friends with guitarist Mike Varney. Varney and Pilson would join forces in the band Cinema. After moving back to Seattle for a brief period, Varney called Pilson to get involved in the recording of Rock Justice, a rock opera co-written by Varney and produced by Marty Balin.

Not sure how old you are. But I am just about George’s age. And that stuff happened a long time ago. I often do not put timelines that long ago together properly. Meaning I get years off all the time when I tell stories. And as time goes on your brain/mind remembers things differently. It is just called aging. And we all age differently!

Listen to him again. He says he knew about him, just didn’t know the deeper details of what was really going on at that moment..and why would he? Wasn’t his thing.

@@ChangGang Well I couldn't stop laughing when Lynch talked about it. And what's also funny is that Varney and Jeff Pilson became friends years before the formation of Dokken.😁
