A tech video would be cool... Big Big buggy runs an LS to a short glide to a 9" center section with an air locker setup to run 934 axles and 44 x 18.50 v treads Most of the other big tire buggies run a custom weddle hv2 transmission setup to be mid engine with 934's, but they all run different motors. Honda V6, Turbo Subie, 5.0 Coyote and 40" x 16.50 v treads. I've talked with some of these guys at Rush as I'm starting a big tire build myself this summer. All a super bunch of guys. Tell you anything you want to know.
Say so do yall stay in first when climbing or do you hit it in second 🧐 jw if im doing it wrong because i stay in first and still learning the do's and don'ts and i dont want to mess up my trans or motor
Every buggy is built different. It depends on the transmission you’ve got and how it’s built. I climb in 2nd in mine. I’ve got 6rib super diff rebuilt 1st and 2nd Weddle gears made for hill climbing.
It’s definitely a dirt bike hill. It’s really not even that bad. It’s the turn between trees that hangs them up. Then the roll back is what gets them. No doubt a dirt bike can eat it up!
I was looking at getting a sandrail, and making into a mountain buggy. Sandrails over here are rear engine as well as mid engine air cooled VW @@off-roadbuggies3946
