Yes listen to Stingray ^^^ Chains don’t need to be done to the extend that timing belts do yet it’s a part on a vehicle. Like every part including fluids everything wears out at some point.

Contrary to what this video says, a timing chain absolutely needs to be replaced after a certain amount of time and mileage. The heat and cold cycles plus the everyday driving stress on the chain will eventually stretch it ever so slightly until it starts making slapping abd rattling noises. This can lead to your vehicle jumping timing which can cause all sorts of bad problems.

Did you watched the video? It says you don't have to replace it until those symptoms & sounds starts

@sakurauyou749 realistically, you should change those parts BEFORE you have any symptoms with your timing system. Any small problems can very quickly become big and expensive problems. It's better to get a new timing chain and tension blocks before they're worn out than it is to need new camshafts, timing gears or valves after ignoring the problems. Of course, we live in a throw away world, so just go get a new car instead.
