Paris Métro Line 5 is one of the 16 Metro lines built in Paris, France. It crosses the east of Paris from Bobigny - Pablo Picasso to Place d'Italie. It is the eighth-busiest line on the network. The line is exclusively served by MF01 trains. Enjoy!

The MF01’s have that Alstom noise

"Alstom noise" means nothing at all.... The speed variator is the device which emits a harmonic sound controlled by a frequency but especially from the traction motor linked to its function of the speed of the train (acceleration or braking) the all built by Alstom.

⁠@@filly0759It does mean something. Alstom trains sound similar to each other, a clear example is the r160a, & washington 6000 series.

@@filly0759 Yes but Alstom use same or close modulations for its trains. The Acela 2 makes the same sound as the Euroduplex for example The "gearbox" sound of the R211 is found elsewhere (like the Mf88, the RER NG and the Futur MR6V), but it is also found on the Metropolis in Asia and South America. There are less frequent cases like the R160 or the Dutch ICNG probably due to the choice of an inverter or motors that are rather rare in the range.
