I'm pushing 80 yrs old, and have heard about Th Bx zoo all my life and often wondered about it. I envy your young legs and the ability to walk around at the pace that you do AK. I hope you understand the joy you bring to old farts like me who can't do the walking we used to. You tire me out just watching your videos. but I get immense pleasure out of being able to walk thru your legs and see thru your Go-pro alias your eyes the wonders of where you live and play and explore. Thank you so much for what you do. and best of all for sharing it with us. !
I am from New Jersey but have lived in Tokyo Japan for over 38 years. I used to go to the Bronx Zoo when I was just old enough to remember with my aunt. Thank you for this. I watched every minute.
I saw horses in the beginning but very few animals after that. It was a great attempt and a lot of effort on your part but they were hiding. Thank you and now I know where I won't be spending my money when I get to the Bronx.
Really appreciate your videos. I was a travel operator until several months ago; bringing hundreds of people to NYC. Out of business now, sadly. But your videos give me a bit of peace, remembering days of coming to NYC.
Such a natural looking and beautiful Zoo ,I never knew NY had such a good looking place to enjoy and have an ice time. Thank you AK for this Great Tour around. You truely know how to be a Unique and Passionate Guy showing us here on the other side of Planet Earth the "Hidden Gems" of this Great City of New York . Showing us that NY is not only made with High Rising Towers but also has Beautiful Jungles like the Zoo where we can walk into and enjoy Animals from all corners of this Planet Earth in a very natural looking World. A Big Thank you AK Ananda & friends
A walk through the beautiful Bronx Zoo...perfect! Haven't been there in a few years. It's at the top of my list when it gets a little cooler. Thanks for posting, AK!
That’s the problem with visiting a zoo on a weekend, it seems like a whole lot of other people have the same idea. I really enjoyed the monorail ride, thank you for standing in the long line so we all could enjoy it. Because of the fact that I can stand or walk for very long I haven’t been able to enjoy our wonderful St. Louis Zoo in a very long time.
To answer AK's question, I would vote for renaming the Bronx Zoo's California Sea Lion to "California/New York Sea Lion" only if AK could speed alongside them in the water. Swimmingly, perfect combination! :)
Very beautiful tour of the Bronx Zoo! Nice monorail ride much beautiful nature. I love the Red Panda! And so nice to see all the other animals too. Fantastic zoo.
Awesome!!!! You're just the best, ActionKid!!!! Can you make the Bronx botanical garden video sometimes? Would be real nice! And there's lots of awesome places there!!
The mono rail is a very fun thing to go on. Exploring the Zoo. I go to the Bronx zoo time to time from PA. One of my favorite exhibits is the Asian tundra.
Thanks for showing the Giraffes!! My favorite animal!! And thanks for taking me to the Bronx Zoo...haven't been there since my Aunt and Uncle took us over 20 years ago. By the way we have a Red Earred Slider Turtle named Michaelangelo named for the Ninja Turtles!!
Luv the Bronx zoo! It is such a beautiful place and the animals have great enclosures. The zoo membership is well worth it and includes several zoos and the aquarium.
The zoos around NYC are all interconnected by association as one big company and the Bronx zoo is their main branch along with the monster aquarium on Coney Island. You may not realized this. The aquarium does have some pretty rare fish that you may not see much outside the aquarium. I know the National zoo has a pair of Breeding Arapaima which are extremely rare outside the amazon. Just kinda watch the Asian tiger enclosure in the Bronx as a tiger there somehow got the virus and it was bad for it for some time and is still infectious even now.
I have only been to one other zoo, the San Diego Zoo, so watching this vlog was a treat. Hard to believe this zoo is in the middle of an urban area. Hopefully the closed indoor attractions will eventually open up. Take care and thanks again.
What a beautiful Zoo & park! The Empire State is so lovely & green with it's majestic trees! Wish you could have stayed longer & there wasn't those long lines. Thank you for video AK!
Hi AK when I travel I usually go and visit the city's zoo and when I was in NYC this is where I went. Truly enjoyed visiting this zoo thanks so much for your very nice detailed videos.
Thanks for the memories AK, growing up in the BX, been there many times live in Gaithersburg Maryland now, so it's so nice being in the Bx, zoo right now without leaving my living room so cool appreciate what you do thank you God bless...
Oh, Wow!!! That's amazing. I never knew that you can grow bamboo and banana trees in New York. I thought bamboo and Banana trees are tropical plants . I would love to grow bamboo and banana trees in my yard if I could.❤❤❤❤❤
Nice tour, The Bronx zoo really brings back childhood memories. I Wish I could go back there but I live in CT so unfortunately if I went there I would have to quarantine for 2 weeks.
Thank you for taking us along to the zoo. $35. not bad for one, considering other amusement parks. If you plan on taking a date to the zoo, need to save up to pay for you & your date.. The last time I was at the zoo was back in 1980 something, LOL!!
Hace dos o tres días comenté en el chat (no creo q lo leyeras) de si podias ir a un zoo o algún sitio con animalitos y hoy veo esto .Tenemos telepatía jaja .Me ha gustado el paseo
I've visited this zoo in 2015. They had free admission every Wednesday. They even had peacocks roaming around the zoo. I didn't have time to see the whole place though.
Your video brings back such fun memories. We visited the Bx Zoo exactly one year ago today, no less! We were there at 10, left at 5 and did not even see the entire zoo, including Children's Zoo. At that time, we paid double the price you paid on admission but got to go inside many of the inside exhibits. Prices for lunch and gift shop items were reasonable. Wow, we missed the rhinos up by the beautiful building; thanks for taping so that I can be sure to stop there next time. That just means I have to visit it again (despite the fact that I lived in NYC 25 yrs and only visited it twice during my years there). Thanks for posting it, ActionKid; I totally enjoyed it and it made my weekend without even leaving my house!
Actually, believe it or not, that was a camel riding area that you passed through as you were first entering the Park. And do remind people that Wednesday is a free day, giving you total access to the grounds but yes not providing access to the monorail ir sky buckets and the other amenities of the rather high $34 ticket price. I'm only afraid of what's the free crowd size will be like lined up at any of the zoo's entrance is waiting to get in Consult their website before making an admittedly long but ultimately worth it trip to the zoo. And may our friends in queens know that the Q44 bus you can get from Jamaica, Flushing or stops in between can get you across the Whitestone bridge and right down the block from one of zoo entrances in a quick and scenic trip
@@eggy6857 then please accept my sincere good wishes and perhaps needless encouragement to count that as a blessing, while I go back to counting my pennies! grin See you at the zoo!
Nice video. Not the Bronx Zoo that I remember when quite a few of the animals were caged. Much better this way. It seemed that the most prevalent species during your tour was "Humanus Overweightus".
Elephants are social animals and I noticed that Happy and Patty are not sharing the same enclosure. They have paid their dues to the Bronx Zoo and deserve to live THEIR lives. Please allow Happy and Patti to live out the rest of their lives at a sanctuary. It's the ethical thing to do.
