This is what a lot of Scandinavians and Venetian's have found..where they live on island archipelago s and commute to the mainland for work or schools.. they get to a dock then cycle or transfer to public transport if they work further inland. The Swiss lakes are largely restricted to E power boats in key areas sail or rowing.. Most of the smaller commuting ferries are also increasingly electric as well.

@@clivestainlesssteelwomble7665 I'm Ontario Canada, and we are starting to see some lakes move to a ban on Petroleum power boats here now as well. We have a very large ferry (80 cars) that is about to be replaced by an electric version. So the change is coming quick. I carry a small 2.8meter inflatable in my boat that has an electric outboard motor. Its not fast, so much more convenient

I can tell you that this boat is more than twice as much as a gas/diesel boat of similar size. I know because I have a 29ft Cobalt that is much more luxurious, faster and with 3 or 4 times the range.

If you stuff the nose into a wave or a trough you will get more water in the boat than a covered front just because its open and heavier..if its a rib it has more flotation buoyancy but you can still end up with a lot of water in the front of the boat .. And as for the jetwash downpours... Its a major problem all over Europe.. and Canada BC last year USA.. flash flooding and Australia. Unless you have a cover or a Bimini If it can part sink a similar size boat at a dock because the bilge pump wasnt left powered up then it can sink any boat thats left open and the bigger the catchment area the faster it fills. Its no more a criticism of this boat than an open top car.. two seater V four seater. If you've ever seen waterfall that can develope on the stairs of an open top double decker bus caught in such a downpour? Its just catchment area x rainfall rate.

That outlet is probably the outflow from the battery and or the motor cooling system.. The other possibility is that its an automatic bilge pump outlet. Should water get into the boat from rain Splash or a leak from the prop shaft.

Assuming the battery has been built with some thought towards safety. Nothing would happen should the boat sink. Odds are strong the battery is liquid cooled like most EV batteries. Meaning its already built with 2 levels if water tightness.
