Word. Thanks for the info. I only dabbled with Staright Edge Hardcore, never went on a deep dive, partially because I’ve always enjoyed many of the things Straight Edge is against.
I think the person who had this collection was a John Peel SHOW listener as his collection reminds me of the kind of music he palyed on the show. Especially the reggae and punk.
When the Butthole's record came out in about 1986 the band was massive and attracting around 5000 at every gig. They did 2 Peel sessions in London. Also they played on the lollapalooza festival in about 1990. I was into the band in the late 80s and loved everything they put out. It was kind of like the 13th floor elevators had been revived! Its not suprising to me that they put out records 10,000 limited pressings.
@@Pluralofvinylisvinyls & the people buying em are Young too...I often see Millenials at swapmeets/bootfairs showing off their copies of Saturday Night Fever, Fleetwood Mac & the GREASE O.S.T. to their friends as if they've just found some Prog holy grail....
