I can't pick my favorite because each and every performance is a testimony to the fact that Angelina Jordan is not of this world, she is like nothing that has ever existed in the past or is likely to in the future. We are so lucky to be in this time and place in the midst of this phenomenal STORYTELLER, and she is only 16. She is a song writers dream come true, both for those written in the past and those to be written in the future.

Isn’t it fun and a blessing from heaven, that someone like AJ can come around and sing in a way that affects professionals, VOICE coaches industry professionals, and everyone is just blown away with how this girl touches your soul. It’s unlike any other singer I’ve listen to in my 56 years of life. Mind you, there are select songs by many artists that do the same thing, but Angelina seems to do it on most of her songs.

I was also struck by the way the audience sits silently, in rapt attention as Angelina works her magic on them. You are also right about the way she puts you into a peaceful and pleasant place. She enters your consciousness through your ears, but she reaches into your soul and brings comfort and happiness. Even on the worst day, listening to Angelina sing can put a smile back on my face. Maybe tears in my eyes, as well, but definitely with a smile.

I always enjoy your Angelina reactions so much! You hear all the little things that many people miss. I have have heard all of her performances literally hundreds of times, so I have picked up on lots of the small stuff. You have a trained ear and can probably hear most of it the first time, but a lot of people miss a lot of the detail with just one listen. Like I said, I have heard all of her stuff hundreds of times... and I still pick up on new little flavorings from time to time. What most impresses me. She has taken the Sarah Barelies arrangement, completely disassembled it, then put it back together with the emphasised points changed to convey the meaning of the lyrics. She has used every technique available to a singer to promote our hearing of the words of the lyrics, and their meaning. Her arsenal of techniques is unrivaled, everything that jazz / blues artists have learned over the past century, and her intelligence quotient of when and how to apply the tools/weapons from her arsenal is equal or higher than that of any of the artists she has studied and assimilated since age 1.5 A combination of natural born ability (genetics), brilliant guidance esp. in critical formative years (grandma Zamani, mom), hard work (just the size of her body of work at her age is stupendous. She has clearly also studied hard with good coaches to make the technical improvements we can see from age 7 to 15) and motivation that works, not clear how though her declaring at age 7 her ambition to be a superstar, and that she"wanted to sing before Simon since age 3" give some clues.

Another great one and fun to watch. I've said it before, but it is worth repeating, especially regarding this song: _"When Angelina sings, the silence that comes after is still Angelina"_

I only understand about half of what you are saying , but your meaning is very clear . You appreciate her as much as the rest of us .

She just takes us to another world. For me, there’s never been another singer whose songs I can listen to over and over and over. I know I’ve heard Angelina’s Yellow Brick Road well over 100 times, and I still react both emotionally and physically to it even though I know every note and nuance in this performance. Her cover of this song made me realize what the lyrics are all about. And she does that with many other songs that I’ve heard for decades, but never really listened to.

Angelina es una niña nacida en otro tiempo...como tú dices en otro vídeo, ella hace que toda la música que elige para interpretar, reviva... Que no muera. La considero una tremenda intérprete más que alguien que tan solo hace covers. Quien hace covers tiene todo digerido, armado y con todo respeto, si lo hace bien, va por un camino ya transitado y seguro. Angelina hace suyas las canciones como tú dices, se arriesga a hacerlas como Angelina Jordan y eso muestra una inteligencia como artista que también la deja fuera de su tiempo. Tiene ahora 16 años, los jóvenes con 16 años imitan los temas, no los recrean. I have been a devotee of Angelina since she was 7years old. She is, to me at 83, the granddaughter I will never have. Even at this remove, I am close to her. What I have come to realize is that she was born an adult, fully formed as Athena was from the head of Zeus. Fortunately, she was born into an extraordinary family who recognized her genius early and properly protected and nurtured it. I am not privy to their private life, but I suspect that she never threw tantrums or lashed out in any way as a toddler, but had from birth realized her destiny and directed herself to it fully. What we have here is, as many others have noted, a prodigy who has command of multiple languages, multiple instruments, an unparalleled vocal range and control, and an empathic soul who rivals Deanna Troi. And now, at 16, so far having survived most of the normal teenage angst (I doubt she has had any), is fully developed physically, statuesque, who could be a model on any runway, who could make millions in the mainstream--and she hopefully will not give herself over to the dark side. She is a singer's singer, who has no desire or need to be anything other than Angelina. She is not a performer in the sense of an Elvis or Beyonce--she doesn't need to strut, or gyrate, or dress provocatively. I am somewhat saddened by reactors who constantly make comparisons to Amy Winehouse, Nora Jones, and others, because they are only comparing voices (guess who wins?) but not souls. She is demon free to me, and I look forward to her being with me for the rest of my years.

She is such a good person - you can read the story of why she sings bare-foot. She can sing anything - she us like a camelon who can change her voice according to which song she will sing. You really have to listen to her last song on AGT Champions, Someone You Love. Then my favorite, her Adele cover of Someone Like You. The look, the emotion she emits and her voice are sheer perfection. I listen to it at least 5 times a day.

Thanks again for another informative review! Maybe try "I'm Still Holding Out For You" at age 10 or "It's A Man's World" at 11. It is such a thrill to watch her progression from 6years old.
