Hi, Ceci. Yes, this is AJ's arrangement, which is often commented on, but IMO overlooked for its brilliance. She begins a capella, then introduces the guitar as a complement to her perfectly-pitched vocals, centering the composition and allowing her to move away from the breathy introduction and into sustained vibrato, pushing more power and open emotion into the song as the piano joins the guitar, building to a crescendo that perfectly matches the lyrics, then finally back into a restrained coda that is almost a capella, featuring a few rich piano and guitar chords. The whole performance is just absolutely masterful. The more you understand composition, the more admiration you have for what AJ has created. And then performed live. This performance alone should have won the competition.

What Angelina did that night was to go onto the stage of a talent show and deliver a masterpiece. I think if any well established, professional, high level singer did what she did there it would be considered one of their finest works... and she did it at 13. I like that you noticed how special that ending was. The big notes are impressive, but it's those subtle flavors she is able to add to her vocals that really set her apart. Thank you Cece. She is an incredible talent. I don’t know anything about technicalities of voice, but it’s her phrasing and the effortless but profound emotion she conveys for one so young. I read once that she began singing as a very small child to her Grandmother’s jazz blues cd’s. Don’t know if or when she began vocal training, but I think she must because she would have possibly damaged her voice with some of her very deep ‘growls’ as in ‘I Put a Spell on You’, which she performed at around 8 years old. Listen to that one if you haven’t yet. I would love your reaction. Bless💕

Bonita reação Ceci, tenho acompanhado o trabalho desta genial garota a alguns meses. Acho que ela é muito inteligente e nada com ela é por acaso. Toda vez que ela pratica o Belting, o faz de maneira técnicamente muito controlada e sem esforço. Acredito que ela deve ter uma orientação dos vocal coachs da Noruega, de esperar sua voz e garganta amadurecerem, esperando definir seu vocal range e as possibilidades da extensão vocal. Não querem causar injúrias na garganta e perder a qualidade do seu lindo tom grave. Ela começou a abrir toda a boca quando usa o Belting, apenas agora com quase 15 anos, cantando Million Miles ( live studio), liberando mais potência. Tudo programado para preservar a garganta.

Queen mismo le envió un mensaje felicitándola por su actuación! Imagínate lo que eso significa. El show se filmó en Octubre de 2019 así que allí Angie tenía 13 años y te aseguro que el arreglo es de ella. Como bien dijiste, una cualidad única que tiene Angelina es crear un ambiente en el que atrapa a la audiencia.
