No, no. Think of the korg trio. We have so called ms20 filter, or moog filter but as in the old days, all filters are very samey in a sense that it is nothing like a ms20 filter vs moog filter. On the oscillators the prophet 12 was the only synth which try to give you some tools to change the character of the oscillators shapes. Or not a lot of synth have tunable envelope shapes. Envelopes are important to the sound, but often they don't get much respect. I mean a knob in each section. In the oscillators: So you begin with perfect digital shapes. And as you turn the knob you morph the amplification and count of the overtones in a musical way but also with extremes which are interesting. So you have very suby and dark oscillators on one point, and then suby and bright oscillators and then oscillators with strong mids. Like from opsix saw to oberheim saw to kijimi saw etc. Of course it works on all waveforms and crossshapes. Or a suited EQ, just for the oscillators. Everything before it enters the mixer or/and filter. Same with the filters. I really would like to see some hugly different filters in one synth. Like a waldorf q filter, then ion filter, roland type, oberheim, wasp which sound very different with its own character. Or you can tune it to taste. How much bass should be lost with increasing resonance. Stuff like that. In digital synth we have a lot of filters but you can hear that they are based on the same architecture. It hasn't to be authentic like in roland where they try to mimic the analog components. I just mean different like a jp8000 filter from a waldorf, from ms20. Then i want envelopes , we can morph, with a knob. Often times like on the pro 3 you have to modulate the envelopes stages with itself or another envelope. Why not make a knob which morphs to a variety of different envelope shapes that are all musical. Or even amps with different character and behaviour. We can do things with digital technology that we never can do with analog stuff. Or it will be very expensive. Just look at modular stuff. There are very cool concepts with analog technology. They finally realized since the brute i guess that wavefolders and shapers are very cool and usefull. But there is way more stuff we could use in a digital fresh context. Also in digital synth we never have more than 2 simultaneously usable filters. Lowpass plus bandpass plus another bandpass in parallel is very nice. We can put that in one filter concept. A bit like a formant filter Just think about how different synth can sound. Sq80 vs jupiter 4 vs memorymoog vs ion. I don't know any synth where you can change the character fluently. Where it is part of the synthese concept. Sorry for the bad writing....

Thanks! Have you checked the amp / velocity? They may be quieter because they need headroom not to overdrive.
