Honestly the one big thing that's missing is logistics. Let's say for example that all bases and spawn vehicles have a limited amount of spawns. Let's say 50 for an ams. 1000 for a major base. and 500 for a minor base. Every 5 seconds or so they replenish a spawnpoint but only if they are connected to your sanctuary. Static bases are connected via the lattice. An ams however has to be near a friendly base to replenish. You have to use construction to build a F.O.B if you want to have access to better spawn facilities further away from your static bases. This would make construction vital for laying siege on enemy bases.
I doubt a third game will come soon but damn, RPG and DB need to step up on the world design, I've seen Far Cry Map Editor maps look better, I'm also disappointed with how lackluster Oshur looks, not vibrant colors or jungles like in the poster they revealed.
You seam to be completely ignoring what the game has gone through since its existence, and how its only just managed to get a team and the freedom to do what it wants. I'm sure If they had the team, a competent leading company and the money to do so, they would have done it sooner. And now they are finally actually making a move toward this because they didn't have a chance to think that big previously. Finally after 8 years they even get their own publisher from Daybreak now and you're having a go at them..
It's funny to see same pathetic excuses 10(almost) years on. Devs blah-blah-blah, potential blah-blah-blah, roadmap blah-blah-blah. They had made exactly what they intended from day one - BattlefieldSide. This is what it always was, is and will be. Nothing more. On a side note its nice to hear ps1 still exists is some form. What pop do you guys get on Sunday peak time?
@@Al_Mars I don't know really. The whole side part of battleside was to try to being the modern-ness to the franchise. Both the people behind the game and MR op who made the video didn't/ don't respect how much of a challenge it would truly be.
i agree thay r missing 1 of the most important parts of planetside the epic scale of the continental ladis system i bin bugging them for years to bring it back in some way part of the problem is that the CEO (ji ham) and hiss columbus nova goofs came in and fired every1 on all teams and shut down all growth & new games 3 man dev teams is not ok ( ji ham ) is nothing but a parasite in a suit :( & till thay get a real gamer/dev in as CEO we r not getting jak shit we r lucky we even got oshur... u should tell DBG/EG7 to get him out ... bring back shmedly or some 1 that givs a fuck
