Hiya pals,
Since in some places (not all) but certainly where I live it's "apparently" summer (not sure the weather here actually agrees!) I thought it was time to share some recommendations for books that I would suggest make a good summer/holiday read.
And sorry friends, the pups don't feature in this one, so extra doggos next time! They are not happy that I recorded this video without them 🫣

Thank you for introducing me to Lucy Clarke! I've written both of those down. For some reason I've been craving all the summer-y/beach reads. I usually only care about winter reads- perhaps it's because it's been almost ten years since I've had a beach vacation and I'm wistful! I'm currently reading Little Monsters by Adrienne Brodeur and liking it for the vibes, but the rich people are definitely grating! One of my fave summer reads is The Shiver by Allie Reynolds. It's a remote location/surfer thriller 🙂

Great picks! I’m a Joanna Cannon fan too, having read “The Trouble with Goats and Sheep”🐐🐑 as well as “Three Things About Elsie” and “A Tidy Ending.” I agree that “Malibu Rising” by Taylor Jenkins Reid is a good summer book. I’m not planning to read “Clown in a Cornfield” but the title is hilarious. 🤡🤣
