Happy New Year Mike and family. That is such a cool looking drag car. That paint job looks amazing. I am sure that you will be building it to be something very cool and fast. Can't wait to see what speed your radar rig will register. Santa brought me lots of cool RC stuff, including a new Basher Rocksta that I see by the HK site is now discontinued.

HNY Jim! Thanks for the well wishes. Much appreciated as always!! I showed the RC to my family yesterday and most of them aren't into RC but they were amazed how cool the RC was. lol. Congrats on the new Rocksta. To be honest I haven't paid much attention to hobbyking in a long time. I think that ship is sinking and their website redesign was a complete disaster. They had some decent personalities too and produced some fun videos on youtube and they all left. It's a shell of what it used to be. That was my main go to website 5 years ago. Not anymore! As for my dragster, doing some research into it and the ESC... it's a 2s only capable but it's high performance. Let's just say this I have a feeling we'll see the radar show it's fastest speed when this thing gets going! lol!! ok Jim take care and have fun with the new toy(s)!

Hi Jamie. Thanks for such a great comment. Thanks for the support. I've been playing that contest for years. a few years ago a club member at my track won and he got a monster truck body and wheels I believe. I can't believe i won this car and all the components and hop ups. Got some swag too and a 100$ GC too which i just spent. Grabbed a car stand and pit bag/tool case. Very cool. That won't be coming anytime soon as I shipped it within the USA cuz it would have been $50 US Fed/ex to Canada. Sent to a friend in Grand Island NY and I'll visit them in late Jan/Feb to grab it. Free shipping in USA but such a ripoff to ship from USA to Canada. Yes my son is stoked about RC and the mini track we got almost completed should be a lot of fun. Thanks yeah I was not familiar with the whole scene. It's exactly like you said, no prep drag racing. 2s limited. A lot of traxxas conversion and some models from Team Associated.. Thank for taking time to comment Kade!

@@mikesrccorner rock on man it's a hard call to stick to 2S competition ready or like mine weighs 9 lbs runs 4S and uses a castle 8. It's also my speedrun car though
