Had my SYM 125 ADX for.6 weeks now and love it. One thing I will add, is when off road or on tracks - there is not one single rattle. Every panel has been fixed perfectly. SYM done their homework very well with this one. Now just waiting for a decent rack to become available for the rear box!
@@karlfonner7589 not yet. The only problems I’ve had have been punctured tyres and that’s not the fault of the manufacturer. It’s currently at 20400 miles as well and still going strong.
Hi, thanks very much for doing this review. I am collecting my ADX 125 next week. There are hundreds of reviews around Europe but your review was amazing, exactly what I was looking for and you confirmed that I made the right decision. Thanks again Gerardo Sanchez
I had a SYM 300 maxi scooter, loved it! But I eventually sold it because it was just impossible to get parts for, there's just no dealer network in this country. I'm now riding a Yamaha and there are three dealerships within 20 miles of my house 👍
What a good-looking scooter compromised slightly by 13'' wheels [14'' would be better] and limited underseat storage, although, as you say, a small top box could be fitted. Great TFT, handlebars and non-adjustable screen. I particularly like the emergency key with the keyless system and the rear shock. First-class review. NJ
Thanks for the review. ADV styling makes scooters cool to a much wider group of riders. Honda ADV scooters will have to lift their game especially with the screen on the Sym. I don't recall you giving us the ground clearance, but looks like it might scrape on kerbs. Some hand guards would add more ADV credibility (and weather protection) to a scooter that's already good looking. Paint finish is great.
G'day Mark, great reviews again, have been away on a 10day ride with mates, 6000km travel on my Royal Enfield 650 and it didn't miss a beat, nearly had my head taken off by an eagle 🦅, they feed on dead Kangaroos by the side of the road and don't see motorbikes coming until the last minute, it's claws hit the top of the helmet, no damage done to either, cheers mate have a couple of your to catch up with, Neil 🤠.
Very nice review. I do deliveries, originally on a vespa with 11 inch wheels. I switched to an SH125i for the 16 inch wheels. About the same price as the bike in this review. I did 35,000 miles on the vespa and thus far 45,000 miles on the SH and can tell you what you already know, 16 inch wheels are much better on pot holes. Plus I have a flat floor, very useful for deliveries. Don't think you have ever reviewed the SH125i.
I love this, reminds me of a transformer 😅 in a good way, great colour, scooters really have come on. Great cheap transport 🎉🎉 great review as always Mark 👋
Mark, I always find your reviews informative and regardless whether a motorcycle or scooter there is no bias good solid information, I’m looking at this scooter as my first trial on two wheels, I realise it’s only a 125 but do you think it be used as a tourer,
Those engines are very similar as Honda's had. SYM use to build Honda scootters and mopeds. I had Sym Bonus 110cc and it was almost full replica of Wave. My PCX 150 (2019) never consumed more than 2l/100km. And most of the time I drove with my wife and son. Now Xmax 300 (2023) consumes about 2,8L/100km. And I am alone over 15kg more than you, so that Sym is not low consumption for 125cc. Keyless start is must to have novadays. And it never have failed for me. Just battery need to changed ones a year. Thank you, very good reviews. (From Thailand)
I was watching one of your older videos when you was saying about the speed at 100km with the set up on that bike it wouldn't of been poerted and change rollers and exhaust for a sport one if you don't want to port it is should do 144km and it makes a big difference you don't need to push it every time but nice to have it
Great review, Mark. I enjoy proper informative reviews regarding 125s, especially the scooters. I do run a 125cc scooter alongside my main motorcycles as they are so handy for the commute or just doing the shopping. On a different note that looks like an RE "One Ride" cap you're wearing at the beginning of the video. Any plans to ride the Lexmoto ADV scooters ?
@markpulling12 Lexmoto are listing a 125cc and a 300cc ADV scooter on their website. From the photos it looks like the SYM is better built but the Lexmoto is about £1000 cheaper.
Hi Tom ....never too old lol unless you've got a bad back ....I'm 53 and still ride my zx12r with no problem...but my heart is with naked bikes these days like my KTM 790 Cheers mark
Oddly in my last comment I was gonna get the Honda cb500f, but due to circumstances I'm now the proud owner of a Honda forza 350 and I love it. Scooters are the way forward....ok I'd of preferred a NC750 DCT, but budget and all that lol. Nice review as always Mark, thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure/review 👍🤘🤙
@@volt8684 I'm considering an NC750. Why did you hate it. I ride scooters for work and think scooters are ok. But not having a real gear box, I miss that for fun riding.
Hi Chris I didn't mention it as I had no idea ! 😆 Lol I get my Info from the Moto GB website and didn't see any mention of TC on there but thanks for pointing that out Best regards mark
@@chrislawton5486 hi Chris keyless can sometimes give problems....it's the luck of the draw but mainly caused by low battery voltage....I really like the 310m ...but think I'd go for a good used Forza 350 Cheers mark
Hi Mark, I do like the option of the key with the ADX.. If the Zontes had this I would have bought it.. Im seriously looking at buying one of these little SYMs.. Chris
@@markpulling12thanks for the reply, I thought as much, I did check out in a showroom the ADX the other day and now have my sights set on the ZT125-M/D.
Hi mark please help im stuk need a new bike promptly are the syms any good or the zontes my pcx as died just need a work horse and the odd day out great review by the way
Hi the sym scooters have been around for many years and are proven reliable...the jet 14/X are good ...the zontes are excellent but more expensive... probably go for a sym as a good work horse Best wishes mark
Thanks mark I'm looking at the adx as work is on marsh land lovely pot hols and when it rains the puddles take ages to go 😅 so cheers mark and ride safe 🛵
These scooters just get better, in my day all you had was a Honda Melody or Yamaha Jog. Mind the scramblers, DT50 and KMX125 were the Kings back then. Mmmmm that 2 stroke goodness. Great stuff, cheers Mark 👍❤
Hi it's about 90% as good as the Yamaha and honda in terms of build quality and reliability but it's cheaper Try and test ride then all and that will help with your decision Good luck and best wishes mark
you see you thikinkig just about your self wit LED headlight . they not good at all because oposit direction driver are blind . So the headlight should be regulated by regulators . Its ok to use on working or field site but not on road .
The keyring retainer on your keyfob is broken, lol. That's on a brand new bike too, what a crappy design by SYM, I don't understand why they haven't changed it yet... Had to design and 3D print an enclosure for my JetX 125's fob since it keeps falling off its keychain. There are some third party off-the-shelf enclosures available from Indonesia and Malaysia where the Jet X 150 (aka GPX Drone) is widespread, but with shipping and customs it is way too expensive. Those are also made of metal and they connect the two clamshell halves with hex head screws, so removing the key will be a long, fiddly process involving a specific hex key.
