Just a small point. I don't know if you know this, but the BMW C400GT is actually a VOGE SR4 MAX 350, also Chinese. In fact, I think they come out of the same factory. The Voge is a bit more expensive than the Zontes because of the fact that it pays BMW some royalties. It was my second choice, in the end I decided to go for the Zontes 350E, smoother, with more load capacity, .... for me, better.

I am a “scooterist” and that scooter must have been designed by a true “scooterist” with the extras and attention to detail. Looks like an incredible value compared to any other scoot in that class. If they showed up in my country I’d be taking a very hard look!

Very good bike. I think the model you have been given for testing is still equipped with a shock absorber for the seat that prevents the second full-face helmet from being fitted (which is what happened to you). This has now been corrected so that you can now carry two full face helmets without any problems and still have space in between. I currently carry two LS2 modular helmets (which take up even more space than a full-face helmet) without any problems.

Seen a few Zontes bike reviews . Of the Chinese bikes Zontes seem to be about the best for build and reliability

Excellent review, Marc. BMW could learn a lot from Zontes, such as the TPMS, more underseat storage, brake lock, etc. etc. These are things that the C 400 (X/GT) could use. (But one more feature I'd like to see on all he maxi-scooters: cruise control, which is found on the latest Kymco AK 550, for instance.) Of course, we in the USA will never see the Zontes, but it's nice to know that some manufacturers are making good products, with useful features, at a decent price. You are absolutely right Bill cruise control would be a great feature for a touring scooter in the 350cc range. Half the price of the BMW and more features, that’s great. Especially because BMW is also built in China. Cheers Marc

Only left glovebox is lockable,the right one is not because of immobilizer.Also steering wheel is adjustable for reach.

In Thailand it starts at 3600 euro. Significantly cheaper than the XMAX 300 and Forza 350. I am thinking maybe buying it as it offers more than the competitors. The only question is reliability and parts quality as it is a new brand relatively.

the problem with zontes scooter is that you can't connect it to an android phone, i have 350d version and i test it with samsung, xiaomi, ... nothing work but with iphone it does, does anyone had this issue too ?

Hi... Need your honest review... As i am also abt 1.78m tall... And I am still thinking more about the comfort for my pillion.. Which bike is more comfortable... Bmw C400GT Zontes 350E Yamaha Xmax 300 I almost want to make the decisions but I need a person like you who tested all 3 to let me what you feels... That good feeling is the most important part of the decisions 😅 -Goobii (SG)

Hi Goobii, in my opinion the Zontes is the most comfortable one, if you are also looking for comfort for the pillion. Second is the BMW also very good seat more stiff. And last is the Yamaha, seat for the pillion is the smallest. Cheers Marc

Lovely scooter, what's the suspension like, especially at the front shocks. My forza is terrible over any bumps.

The suspension feels good to me, handles bumpy roads quite well. Of course it could be better with Showa shocks and fork.

@Marc.Stones thanks Marc I think it's a problem generally with scooters. My Forza 350 is an excellent motor, just terrible on bumpy roads and manhole covers here in England. I know the ADV 350 is supposedly a lot better? Thanks for your reply. Enjoy your new scooter. I'm not sure if it's available in the UK? I know the 310 is available at a cheap price and warranty, too. Thanks again.

I know the roads of England, did a tour with my BMW scooter to the south, and the bad roads made the life with the scooter quite difficult sometimes. The suspension of the ADV 350 is better than the Forza longer suspension travel.

@@Marc.Stones do you think you’ll get a parallel twin engine? Or stick to a rumbling single cylinder? :). Those bigger scoots are tempting. But I have to admit. The simplicity and rumble sound of a single is intoxicating:). Ps have you heard or seen videos on the scooter Canonball run in the USA? Looks wild!
