back peddling doesn't even make a difference in pve so why are people requesting for answers on a needless comment. Enjoyed the video, I don't play a priest but I play as a tank however i have wondered as to the differences between disc and holy so yeah ty for the info :)

I assume that Holy generates more overhealing, as the absorption of Disc doesn't create much overhealing. Is my assumption correct? With comparable i'lvl gear on, which results in higher HPS in raids, Holy or Disc, assuming that the Holy gear is higher in Spirit to gain higher mana regen, and Disc gear is higher in Crit, Mastery and Haste? It would seem that this gear difference alone would cause Disc to create higher HPS - is that correct?

Haha, thank you for your opinion, but I didn't mean to say that crit was my #1 go-to cap. I do have a super amount of mastery and haste. Like I said, it doesn't take long for me to build up 100k+ in Divine Aegis, so I believe I'll be all right. Disc is great for the End Time dungeon, too. Because the dragon's breath hits for about 70k, it is always nice to have that DA up and ready to absorb that dmg and keep every one happy. :D

You do express valid points, and I agree with you that each is viable in different circumstances. I do believe that the preferred spec is completely dependent on the user's play style. My play style points more to disc in arenas and RBGs mainly because of divine aegis and my insane amount of crit. I like Disc so much there because I can build up divine aegis on a target to over 100k absorption which means that they are near invulnerable, but different people do play differently.

Its actually not click-able as far as priests claim. It is limited to its range obviously, and whats a significant amount of players do not play in a way where they can take their attention of their character to mouse over something to click it mid fight. Some players I know play entirely without a mouse in pve, while others use their mouse like myself to mouseover heal. If I were to click the lightwell I would have to stop healing. It sucks, but there are real reasons why this well is busted.

I play a disc/holy priest (tohr twilight's hammer EU) and I am currently doing the heroic raid instances. I like your video how you touch equally on which subject is better. I started of playing holy but when we stared needing a tank healer I tried disc out and I use it for most fights! p.s. Halfus heroic is the most enjoyfoul fight for a disc priest! :D

Pretty good video actually. Been collecting healy gear for my Priest for a while now, it's all 346-359 pretty much now and I've been dying to heal again, haven't had a healer since WotLK. Think I'll try Disc first, they just both seem more crazy than healing in the 'old days' lol

so which spec would you say is more mana efficient? The last MMO I played, when I played a healer my main focus was mana efficiency. I'd get the tank/dps to a point where they would be safe on HP fighting the mob and try and keep my mana as high as I could. Solo healing that is.

As a healer myself, I don't care if I backpeddle. I do it because I can and when I can't do it, I just move like PRO! It all comes down to playstyle and if you can manage your mana to take the extra damage for you to backpeddle in :>

Disc 4 life! Also, S-key in PvE is no big deal. Unless you need to move quickly. And I situationally will S-key it up while tanking when I'm trying to position a mob or boss. But I only heal PvP at the moment, and that means no S-key. Ever.

I presonally prefer disc, always have since I made my night elf priest. I have quit wow, but do play on a Wotlk private realm and I have remade my priest and I found disc to be so much fun in both pvp and pve

Disc priest = pvp Holy priest = pve Simple as that. The mechanics of the discipline spec of priests is designed for pvp preventative damage. The mechanics of the holy spec of priests is designed for pve healing.

@indiegarona I suppose it makes sense. It would be more noticeable to see color appear on the screen than already having a bunch of color, and trying to notice it being taken away. That's just my view on it.

Some info I think should be looked into. Only stacks twice to my knowledge. Also any single target heal (flash, greater, reg, serenity ect.) renews your renew while in chakra serenity. Thanks and I hope I helped)

I have a disc priest, and I lean more to PVP. I tried Holy, it's just not my thing. Even when in a dungeon, I heal in disc =) Great guide, and I am IN LOVE with your UI. It's so beautiful ;)

Quick Tip: If your Prayer of Mending jumps to you and you don't want to waste it, just SW:D something if you know it won't kill your target. You'll take damage and your PoM will heal you and jump.

I saw she used inner will instead of inner focus i guess because of disc and all the instants but in a raid situation whats more beneficial? extra SP or move speed and lower mana on instants?

I almost never use lightwell in 5mans. Why? Because the fights are extremely short and doesn't require lightwell in 5mans. So most of the time the charges won't be used. ps stop backpaddling.

I can respect your statement that it basically comes down to personal preference. I've been told so many times that I should go Disc., but I love Holy so much I'd never be able to switch.

Binding heal, procs serendipity twice. so flash heal < bindhing healing. Same mana cost and just about heals for the same amount. :) keep PoM, and CoH on CD.

Great video - Thanks! However, I am left uncertain as to which I want to use when healing. I have been using Holy, but as said in the video, Holy requires a lot more spell casting, which I would like to cut down on. I think I will get rid of Shadow temporarily as my dual spec, and try using Disc in PVP, where it seems to be the preferred spec. If I like using it in PVP, I might try using it in 5-man dungeons. But, until I make up my mind, I am sticking with Holy for the AoE when raiding.
