The great thing about disc is there are so many different ways of playing it. Personally i go haste,crit, mastery as my stat prio and i like the talent that can make flash heal instant and no mana as well as the talent that reduces the CD of inner focus and penance. I pretty much will never use heal or flash heal. If a target isnout of range of atonement i will either penance or greater heal and make sure to use inner focus anytime i need to use either greater heal or prayer of healing.

This! It’s at a really nice place in cata, where we definitely have a few different options and tbh I really like it! Ive seen a few people say they won’t use heal etc, and I see your point… whereas I’ve always liked playing it when needed, making use of both atonement & also direct heals. 😁

In my opinion u should not use heal as a filler. If there is less to none dmg incoming just use smit/holy Fire to keep up evangelism stacks and it also can proc divine aegis and since it will mainly heal tanks in low dmg phases it has always Full value Thank u for the Video very much Info and things to try out keep up the good work 👍

A tip I would throw in here is to pretty much always only use Prayer of Mending on melee and tanks.

The profession enchants are out of date. Lightweave rank 2 is 580 int for 15 seconds; Ring is +40 int.

I Play Goblin on retail and classic and the rocket Jump is just insane in harder fights so u can position faster and pump while others have to move or being able to Save ppl with your grip

I thought the proper disc healin began in cata. I was wrong. Basically ur holy with shield. when does disc heal through smite?

No ur not ”holy with shield” u Use smite and holy fire mainly. Prayer of healing in aoe situations and flash heal / binding heal for quick emergencies. Dont listen to this guy he was wrong on many points so i would either watch guides on icyveins or other websites or watch hc raids to see how other disc priests play.

Stat priority is completely incorrect, haste is the most important depending on the haste breakpoints, IE with 3/3 darkness and 5% raid haste and 14% from borrowed time you want 15.52% haste from gear to reach the 37.52% haste... next stat is crit, and that's because your main heal is PoH and how divine aegis works with prayer of healing, a PoH crit puts a DA shield of over 70% of the heal amount which is beyond OP....mastery becomes extremely low value when you take this into account.

Yea I agree. I'm going haste-crit- mastery. Id rather have slightly smaller shields proccing more often than bigger shields proccing less often. Also faster smites is just straight up more healing thru put

Why would you spec into soul warding? You don’t spam shields anymore. You track your rapture cd and use shield accordingly, on main tank usually. Combined with other issues already mentioned (inspiration, stat priority etc) this guide is terrible lmao.. also heal as filler spell? What about smite/holy fire - it’s cheap, does dmg, stacks evangelism, smart heals

I use the talent that reduces cd on penance and inner focus. People tend to forget, that inner focus’s crit buff is op, since crit procs DA

I'm happy to provide some info around it if you'd like! For anyone reading - it applies a 10% physical dmg reduction to targets of your heals. Although this may sound phenomenal, it''s really only useful on the tanks (most of the time, unless a specific encounter has everyone taking physical damage). Others may be providing it though, like Disc/Holy priests or even resto shamans, so do be mindful of this if taking it. Hope that helps!

You can also play old school and not choose dps talents. It is not an obligation. I used to play classic discipline without this bad habit to dps ;-) and it worked very fine.

And choose to not take a 15% additional healing window every 30 seconds. U can even take no talents and go in melee to avoid that bad habit to cast spells. Bäh magic.

I wouldn't say doing DPS is a bad habit? Personally I just think atonement is hella fun but to each their own. Atonement is much more mana efficient though since smite and holy fire are your lowest costing spells and heal more than heal and holy fire heals more than flash heal with the same speed and again, 5% mana back every 30 seconds and 15% additional healing is really nice especially if you use it with CDs

Is archangel used a lot? Leveling, I only use for the 1% mana as my evangelism and 1 shield on tank easily does the work.

Yea mana is rough at 85 so you'll probably want to use it every time it's up cuz it's only 30 sec CD. Also for the extra healing. Once you have enough spirit it's not a big CD and you can wait to use it when people are taking damage
