Otto himself, Kiana, Durandal, etc..* "Life is too long to end at a grave" *- He understands that a sinner like him no longer deserves a memorial in the world. Too many sins cannot be undone. He has regressed to the point of no return. He even mentioned that he hopes everything would start anew when it is passed down to Theresa.* "Just a drop of water suffices" *- Merely trying to revive/save 1 girl over the course of 500 years of Humanity.* "Encompassed and swallowed through space by the universe" *- Toyed by fate like a clown no matter the timeline and method.* "Back to the source Gone are those years living for a reason Here it comes the moment of the scene of lost and found" *- Countless attempts to revive Kallen but barely any progress repeatedly through the course of his life eventhough fully devoting and dedicating his entire life for this purpose.* "Personas played out on the stage Will return to the self when there's a curtain call" *- No matter how things played out, it'll eventually lead to the pre-determined Destiny you're born to traverse through & end with. Also a reference to Sixth Serenade and her fate.* (Second Verse chorus - Lyrics reflective of the scenes in Full Version MV) "Every night brings a dream but the day, relentlessly keeps me awake" *- Currently fighting to death for the "Dream" after he witnessed the "Miraculous" Kiana K423.* "All the rest will be torn up whenever a choice is made" *- Choice is made. His life for Kallens'. His legacy would soon be over. A timeline sprouts anew on the other side.* "Everyone has their own desire leading to the ultimate" *- He's now heading towards his ultimate goal. One he has desired for 500 years. He also believes that the "heroes" (Kiana/Durandal) and everyone else would one day reach their ultimate goal as well (as seen from his farewell ghostly speech to them).* "Life is too long to end at a grave" *- Scenes reflecting all the actions and sins of his past. He personally accepted that some of his actions are irredeemable and hopes his sins and ways of the past would be forgotten and cleansed by Theresa's goodwill and leadership eventually. Scene ends with Otto shutting his eyes post-reflection of sins, signifying acceptance of his lonesome ending.* "Just a drop of water suffices" *- Just wishes to spend just another moment with Kallen once more. Wishes to change the fate of Kallen Kaslana, even if it is just another distant timeline where he is no longer there.* "Still I wish to embrace the world with my thoughts" *- Otto Apocalypse, the "Scientist" that was understood and approved by Kallen. The recognition then led him to strive to become the greatest scientist to assist Kallen and eventually led humanity against Honkai. Over the course of time, the methods slowly regressed and starts to leave a bitter taste.* "A eulogy" *- Despite all the sins, no one can deny that Otto Apocalypse has left a legacy worthy of praise in several aspects. Without Otto, Humanity may not stand against Honkai as it is now. There would be no Kiana. Valkyries would not be as it is today.* "Time to leave where I have stood so long" *- 500+ years of legacy and humanity's progress.* "Letting you go recover traces overlapped" *- I leave the rest to you (to Theresa in present, and to Kallen in the new timeline).* "Ends, then Begins". *- My story ends here. Your story starts here.*

I find it so ironic how the Kaslana bloodline have always thrown themselves into the fire for other people, yet all of the kaslana that we know have been saved from death because somebody sacreficed themselves. Kiana and Himeko Sigfried and Cecilia Kallen and Otto

When he talked with the Will of Honkai in the manga, it kinda gives him a idea on how his life will end and in order to save Kallen.

I like how they did 2d animation kallen's part and 3d animation for Otto to show that they are in truly different dimensions. It also indicates which one is the past(2d) and which one is the present(3d) and, there's the future which is the mix of both.

I remembered that I promised myself 2 years ago I would forever hate Otto and wish he was gone. Can't imagine the fact that I miss the man once he's gone.

You know what Otto? You have a point.

Really what a great ending of his arc, and both themes are banger, its sad that the other one has short vocals only.

This was the journey of a very sad, sad old man. That went against the entire world. To a Hero they would sacrifice one to save many... But to a Villain they sacrifice everything to save just one. Otto was tragic and well-written character. For others he might be a SIMP that couldn't let go. But I see a MAN atoning for a mistake he never intended. Saving a person that was his only light in life. In the end... He managed to do it. He had the last laugh! He might be not worthy of forgiveness but he is worthy of RESPECT. If I have a bottle of wine beside me. I would pour one in a glass, not to celebrate but to leave one to you Otto. For you managed to do the Impossible, and that is something to applause for. *"Farewell, O Great Inventor... May your soul finally Rest in Peace..."*

One of the best parts is that you can unabashedly root for Otto in this. You want to believe that all the sins he's stained his hands with, all of the betrayals, manipulations... it can't have been for nothing. Thus, when he struggles in this, when he falls, you genuinely want him to get back up, to _win._ Otto willingly chose to play the villain, all for this one moment. He doesn't look to be forgiven, nor does he expect it. No matter what he has to do, it is enough. He's such a brilliantly written character, and it all culminates here. Safe to say, Honkai Impact's story is gonna feel a whole lot emptier without him.

The dude sacrifices his entire life, name, title, family and friends just to get the valkyrie that not even meta. Now mihoyo grant this man's wish... New kallen battlesuit!!

Truly... One of the best written character of Honkai impact. The amount of Complex feelings I have for Otto after act 3 is.. I can't even explain it. Good bye Otto apocalypse you were a really good villain. I don't forgive you for the crimes you did, but I do respect you for what you did for Kallen even though she probably didn't wanted this and giving the Kiana and the others the chance to win against the Honkai.

The last scene of Otto and Kallen resting at the tree it's just... It breaks your heart. Love really can make you go through anything. The complexity of his character is just outstanding. Honkai is just 10/10 story telling. Love this game to death. ❤️

4:52 I never thought that that scene from Second Eruption of Sirin explaining how even if she recreates her mother with her DNA, it wouldn't be her Mom due to the body not having the correct soul, would actually teach Otto that no matter how perfect the clone he makes it can never be "Kallen" due to it not having her soul... Mihoyo really uses every little detail from the Mangas to give more detail to the Game's story...

remember guys: Otto has done more good for humanity than bad. We may see him commiting several crimes, but is a fact that he protected humanity from honkai during his long life. As MiHoyo once said, there isnt true evil in the history, only different forms of justice.

For me, the beauty in Otto's story lies in knowing how it feels to love someone as deeply as he did Kallen. The lengths you would go... The sacrifices you would make... The evil you would become... The mountains you would move... His was a journey of determination beyond what most would know. All for the sake of giving the love of his life her fair chance to live. The very same chance she gave to him. As unforgivable as his actions were to achieve this... It will never take away how human his desire was. Something we all have felt, or will at some point... I despise what he allowed himself to become, but I don't hate him for it... If anything, I always understood him, and could at the very least respect him for seeing it through to the end. Hands down, some of the best writing in gaming this generation... And from a waifu collector lul

If you ever want to give up, remember that Otto took 500 years to finally succeed in his plan. Don't give up. Screw the world like how Otto screw Honkaiverse. Edit : Oh hell. The Trailblazers are coming to Imaginary Tree as we speak.

All these newbies coming in after Firefly, but real men understood Otto since before that

I remember when I started my journey with Honkai, I wasn't a fan of this character. At first I thought he will come out as somewhat quirky villain, but nothing really special. Back then, at the very beginning, I didn't know how emotional I would get over him. Talking with friend I used to joke about how I "hated" this man. I wasn't that serious, he was a neutral character for me... man, how wrong I was back in the day. His self-awareness made me realize how good-written he was, whole this time. I'm not about to say that he was the hero of the story. He never was supposed to be one. He did loads of very, very horrible things and yet...he became one of my forever-favourite characters in this story. I'll miss you, Otto. Thank you, miHoYo, for such a great character, and the voice actors for amazing job over these years.

It ironic that many Kaslanas burned to ashes using Shamash to protect their loved ones. Yet this time it is a Kaslana who saved by one of her dearest using Shamash.

Here we are realizing how Otto felt and choice he made is just for her and future. And Im ready to make the same move just to save Firefly.

the one thing i can agree with him is 1 thing. Heroes don't get the ending they deserve and they sometimes gets punished for doing the right thing. Kallen dedicating her life for Schicksals only for her to be hanged because of she can't stand how Schicksal is starting to become a tyrany has the same vibe as how Jeanne fought for France in the 100 year War only to be burned as a public display disregarding all of what she has done to France. May the Purgatory cleanse you of every bit of your Sins, Otto Apocalypse

Very postive and wholesome story

Otto may not have lived a good life, but in his final moments he shone so brigtly just to light a path for his beloved. Mad respect for Otto for actually outplaying all the cast and God itself just so Kallen would live. I don't want to admit it, but he's probably now one of the coolest characters in the game for me

If you haven't noticed it already: Otto and every scene in the Imaginary Space is depicted in 3D, while every scene within the Imaginary Tree is depicted in 2D (with the exception of Otto when he saved Kallen) It's very fitting considering that Imaginary Space is a higher dimension/reality. Mihoyo artists are genuises.

Reminder that he was 1 HP when he did all of this, this guy is beyond insane

I love Otto because he's the ultimate (and arguably ONLY) anti-thesis to Kiana, one who lets go of the past and looks to the future. And yet, his understanding of the motto "fight for all that is beautiful in this world" is just as valid of an interpretation as our little Tuna's understanding of it. The subtle meaning behind the organization of Schicksal ("Destiny" in German) being led by a man whose life was torn up by Honkai, refuses to accept it, and goes on fighting against his own destiny with his indestructible willpower is a valuable reminder that everyone is capable of fighting their fate no matter how grim and that miracles are all created this way. Otto is ingenious, foolish, kind, cruel, and pitiful. But to him these are wholly transient and never binding (which is why he wasn't affected by the Authority of Binding. He had already let go everything except his one singular goal and had nothing to "bind" him so to speak). Rest in Peace, Ole Inventor

Otto, I might have never known you before the Firefly incident, but I can now proudly say, I. AM. YOU.

a little details,in 8:19 ,these is old Chinese tale about two star of NiuLang（Altair)and Weaver Lady(Vaga aLyr).They are two lovers that been separate by the Milky way.they can meet only once in a year by the bridge of magpies,and that day is the Traditional Valentine's Day of Chinese.

Otto's the best written character so far in Honkai, and that says so much since all of them are written beautifully. I can only hope Ayato is written as good, good job hoyoverse!

I watch this at least once a week. It makes me tear up every time. Mihoyos writing staff, the animation staff, the music composers, and Akira Ishida are all AMAZING
