so adorable! i love my penpals!! my penpal sends me botanical illustrations from books she got from antique stores since she knows i like them! i like sending drawings, handmade stickers, and on special occasions i like adding tea and chocolate!! i love writing and receiving letters, they're just so much more personal and i love the idea that they come from oceans away!

When I was a teenager, I had a pen pal from Germany, but that fizzled out. I also had a brief correspondence with someone from Finland and another from Australia. I want to have one again! And hopefully, one that lasts. I think it would be a good idea to find one from France so that I can practice the language by writing my letters in french and she could reply back in English to practice hers.

Hi I an really unsure of weather to start....I am only 11 and I really do not know how to send things thru the post card and stamps and stuff and my parents might not agree with me to send letters I know this might sound weird but is there anyway to send a letter for free? Thank you!

I've only ever had one pen pal. It was difficult because she lived on the other side of the world and was still learning English, but I was learning her first language at the time, which was how we met in the first place, so it was a good way to help each other learn. I lost touch with her starting high school... I still have all the letters she sent me... I hope she's doing well, where ever she is.

I've only got one penpal but she's not really taking it seriously. I really like writing and creating^^ . i always include some drawings or polaroids or poems in my letters but unfortunately I don't get to write letters more often :(
