@Chac Chan some do, some don't. No judgement on if you do. People grow up, styles change, trends change, and people grow into their personalities as they discover who they are or want to be as an individual and as an adult. If you grew out of it, that's cool, I'm sure you have a rad style now so props for the glow up. I just know for myself and many others it has not been a phase, it grew into a lifestyle and that lifestyle grows and matures with new trends and throwback styles are coming back and getting incorporated into current trends. Basically all I'm getting at is everyone has their own style and has a unique individuality so I don't judge any style as long as it's in good taste and not trying to fight against their own assets but instead enhance and embrace their individual style.

Ever since i could remember i ALWAYS loved the emo/scene lifestyle and at a very young age i always knew thats how i would live. Currently living that life and absolutely never see myself turning back xD

The brokencyde part had me in pieces. I was literally such a massive not ironic fan of them. I tried so hard to be and emo kid you can say I’m a scene/emo vet (2007-2010) but always emo at heart lmao
I remember when I was about 4 or 5 seeing scene and emo kids and I thought they looked so cool so I would part my hair to the side and put it in front of my face (which probably looked terrible thinking back) 😂 Anyway now I can finally live my emo/scene dreams XD
My ex used to make fun of me and manipulate me about being emo. He hated the style. I’m now more into punk and I know you’re more scene but SHIT this is like a double shot of confidence!! I love every outfit
Oh boy... I loved being the center of that "your shirt offends me" I bought a shirt at Hot Topic that said "Bad Religion" with a crucifix being crossed out. I DID NOT know it was a band. I bought it to be an ass. And it did indeed piss off a school faculty member who sent me to the dean... by myself... like wow she legit thought she could get me in trouble by trusting me to walk all the way to the Dean's office myself. Did I do it? Nah I had better things to do like not caring. School faculty went on a hunt to find the girl in the satan shirt and they caught me trying to get on the bus to go home... BUT the one lady who caught me recognized it as a band so I didnt get in trouble for it- but I did get in trouble for not going to the dean. Oh and the lady who originally reported me started stalking me between classes to try and write me up as "late" the exact second the bell would ring that I wasnt in class.

I miss those scene days so bad😭 and I’m very happy to find your channel As soon as I take my university exam witch is in 2-3 months I’m going to become one 🥺😍 so excited for this 😭 Actually I was never a scene kid cause my teenager years started after 2016-2017 and scene and emo culture were already ending and I never felt comfortable being and acting like others, now I feel like I’ve found my true self and it’s just so comforting to be who you really are.

For some reason this reminded me of my mom. I have that weird body type where there aren't really any curves and everything is just kinda flat so in my opinion I can't pull off wearing a crop top. I try, but I'm never happy with it so I just give up and put on a band tee. My mom on the other hand is still stuck in that 2000-2015 clothes layering mindset that if a shirt is too short, you can fix it by putting a tank top under it.... 😑 I wish I could have grown up more scene, but I'm apart of that weird early Gen Z group where we were too young for Scene Era and too old to be.... whatever the hell stereotype my generation gets. Like for example, All Time Low started pretty much the same year I was born. There was no going to Warped Tour or anything cause I was young. I'm pretty sure I would have been like 12 when the last Warped Tour was. Thank you for trying to bring this back. I want it to for the sake of all the kids in my part of my generation who missed the cutoff line. ❤
Can we all just say the one thing on our minds Emo,goth, punk, cyberpunk, scene, steampunk, etc doesn’t fall under the egirl/eboy category 🤦🏾♀️ Bruh I remember how everyone was obsessed with Adventure Time, Pikachu, Mustaches, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Rawr, Silicone bands, and crazy usernames that had to have cookies, monster, mustache, rave, or acid in it. I was on mostly Gaiaonline( my account still exist 😂) then transitioned to imvu which I loved back then because of the rooms were very ideal of the type of places most alternatives would go to....Sadly it went down the shitter for me

YO fucking catchingclouds.... i listened to him for like a week straight and then forgot completely about him. every time u mention bryan stars i get reminded that hes real and i wasnt the only person who like. experienced my digital escape. im 18 so i was also in that tail end of scene kid culture and i was more observing rather than taking part and its been so interesting watching your videos and hearing you talk about like. each of these eras bc i can so distinctly pick them out and its so interesting to know that someone else had a very similar experience with scene kid stuff. anyways im so glad its kind of coming back, its made me decide to finally dress the way i want to and have fun with it instead of just settling for black jeans, a fall out boy shirt and my kind of cool high tops
