Great video. I figured out how to get the plates dropped in, but found I did them wrong in the cummerbunds and I had no clue how to affix them to the main carrier. Please keep up the excellent tutorials.

I got one of these looked it up first, thanks - this helped a lot, just got mine the other day it was heavy all in the box when I put it on it was not bad at all, I could even run in it.

Never forget to pull the tab from under the front flap that holds the front plate from falling out. At 10:16 you can see the tab tucked inside the front flap. Watch out for that.

I love the Spartan system, but I still can't find one with a quick release. If you fall into a body of water kitted out with ammunition and accessories, you're going to sink like a rock. Many soldiers were lost to drowning in OEF/OIF for this reason. Why are there so few kits with quick releases?

who manufactors the Plate Carrier, are all Spartan Armor System Carriers made by Condor?

The only bad thing about my plate carrier is the velcro straps are too short. I'm 6'7 and bought the Spartan Armor System Level lll+ AR 550 with the Sentinel Legion XL Plate Carrier Package.

If you get a set similar to this that only comes with the base coat on the plates (or even if you get the full coat, can't be too safe) I would recommend a spall guard like the one sold by tactical scorpion gear. tacticalscorpiongear.com/tactical-scorpion-gear-body-armor-ar500-10x12-steel-plate-spall-guard-blocker-tsg-1012se.html Could keep you from taking some lead shrapnel to the jugular.

Putting this together and adjusting it several times to get the right fit right was one of the most demanding physical workouts i've had in years.

Not very helpful, i wanted to know how to put in the side plates but mine is different, got the Leonidas, it has openings on the end but not quite 6in so the plate won't fit

Hey those are cool but if your going back to war you know your gonna have to shave right , no Mountain Men in the Marine Corps .LOL I guess I'm retired so I don't see a use for them all though it's really cool that civilians can buy this kind of gear now.
