It's magic to see Ajahn Brahm, Ajahn Amaro... so young, I had no idea such footage to exist, thank you so much! This come to my mind: usually, when you compare old"famous" people, politicians, writers, actors, scientists, philosophers... with his younger beings,it is evident that they've changed A LOT, they can be totally different people in thinking, views... not Ajahm Brahm and the others. Of course , impermanence, they have changed. But NOT SO MUCH you know, wiser but in a esential sense they are the same, the same minds practicing the same way in their twenties as in their seventies, the same conviction and determination...it's amazing. On the contrary of so many religious and political leaders, celebrities, historical figures, coachs... theravada monks "just" practice what they teach. They ARE what you see, no more, no less🙏 And now we can picture better the young monk Brahmavamso when he tell us his amazing stories!
I have watched this at least 20 times, its awesome seeing Ajahn Amaro in first first year and Ajahn Brahm, Jayasaro 8 precepts, I wonder what became of the rest of them, aside from Joe who disrobed and still is involved. Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The Canadian Tan Varado (John Courtmanche) disrobed after spending about ten rains with Ajahn Maha Bua. The American Tan Chad Dhammachando remains a monk to this day. He's lived for many years as a hermit in Tak Province. I don't know anything about the Austrian or the Frenchman.
"Lord, let the Blessed One teach the Dhamma! Let the One-Well-Gone teach the Dhamma! There are beings with little dust in their eyes who are falling away because they do not hear the Dhamma. There will be those who will understand the Dhamma." [Ayacana Sutta - SN 6.1]
This vdo is so amazing. I’m so grateful to see Ajahn Brahm and Shaun who became one of the most worshipped monk in Thailand right now, Pra Ajahn Jayasaro (at the end of the clip) 🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️
