Filmed at the House's salon, Galliano gives a tour of some of Dior's most important dresses and discusses his own creations as well as those of Christian Dior.
he was a revolution of fashion, I believe they did that intentionally as he stole the lights from all the designers. John and M&Q are the best one has been fired and the other has been killed do you think that has not been planned?
i just realized he refers to the dresses by the names of the models who wore them on the runways. i can't believe he actually remembers that. shows you how close he is to the models he selected to wear his pieces.
Littleathquakes I do think that Galliano loved his models but he's not naming the dresses by the name of the models, I think that the flamenco dress is called 'Jacquetta' cause Jacquetta Wheeler was one of his muses at that time, she opened and closed some Dior and JG shows, so i think that's the main reason.
Victoire, from the 50's, then we go to Jacquetta, Wheeler, then Natalia Vodianoa, but he didn't care to name that green armor after Lily Donaldson though she wore that in the 2006 couture show, lmao. He probably forecasted how basic of a girl she was going to become in 2017!
John Galliano is the Leonardo DaVinci of Fashion. A pure Genius. John Galliano should be reinstated to head Dior once again. All is forgiven John Galliano.
Dior WAS Galliano! And Galliano WAS Dior! If only for too brief a period. YSL was amazing too! I would like to see John return, however I dont think it would be the same. But what he did while he was there! Masterful.
Always love the way he speaks. How he enounciates, the sound of his voice, the tone of his British accent with the French influence. Always so elegant!💝
He is so passionate at what he does. His shows are the best and a true legend to fashion.I know he has had his ups and downs but haven't we all at some point in our lives?!.
@@fdpcompdm Fair statement. The words were inexcusable, I do think its important to understand the unprecedented explosive actions of a personal having a mental breakdown mixed with substance abuse though. Again not an excuse but hopefully an opportunity for reparations and growth in all aspects.
He is bigger then Dior, more than a fashion designer ..he needed to explode he is a Mt. Everest of talent a real artist needing to be without any confines.. Galliano is Magnifique' et Fantastique'
haitang haute couture is more of the handwork put into it rather than its appearance but I do think making minimalistic haute couture that is loved by the general public is not easy
@@Sonmmmxuan In the case of Chanel doesn't seem hard either. The house has such an impact in pop culture that they could release a crop top made of tissue paper and people would call it genius masterpiece, exquisite high art lol. They've been overreproducing the tweed jacket over and over, people laugh at JLo for pulling a Marge Simpson with the green Versace dress but Chanel is the king of pulling the Marge Simpson redoing over and over again the tweed jacket and adding it to every collection, to almost every look. Chanel fans always say that it's the seal, the vibe of the brand, but you don't see the literal new look made by Dior in every collection, you don't see that black skirt and grey jacket that he first presented in every runway. So, yes, I know it's hard, but they're not the biggest risktakers, Karl and Virginie have been in the comfort zone for years.
John Galliano is the only artist or designer who cloud follow the steps of Mr Dior himself. Well still after a big Skype behind Gianfranco Ferré of course, in my opinion. The most important thing anyway is love and dedication. The House of Dior should had never let him go.
Ohhh my god! And my inspiration is just reborn with this! I love this!! Pure art on skin, damn he made Dior and it’s never been the same.. not that it’s bad now it’s just missing that true coutourier touch
Dior needs to bring back JOHN GALIANO !!!! All must be forgiven.. we are only human and human makes mistakes .. Bring back the mystery of the House of Christian Dior ! Only the greatest JOHN GALIANO will revive this fabulous DIOR !
Enough with this obsession! Dior has always recruited great designers except MGC. You guys talk as if Dior was made by Galliano, long before Galliano worked for Dior, the brand was already comes with genius work.
Dior without you is nothing, I hated without you, I'm so proud as I have bought something from your designer, I was looking to see your show every time but now I do not even care about Dior, I hate that ugly model who coz you to be fired from Dior. you are the best ever, glad Anna still supports you, I was lucky to see you with her ar Britsh fashion award, and I hope to see you together all the time, and I hope to see you again in one of the important brands, Dior has lots a lot, unfortunately.
John opens his heart when he discusses this and it is always endearing as w/ his post-rant interview, u felt compassion for him, as twisted a mistake as he made.
just sitting in a cafe, Galliano, for no reason at all, was insulted by a Jewish woman, calling a rooster. What would you answer if you were just sitting in a cafe, and they called you a rooster? So don't say what you don't know
@@Methilde do not lie. Galliano sat in a cafe, rested, did not touch anyone. It was the two Jewish women who insulted him first. They didn’t like his hat and they were drunk and so they said "rooster" out loud. So don't say what you don't know.
WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW etc. You've turned me on my head John! Oh how I wish you would bring back glamour to ALL streets, all over this world- I am so tired, though I LOVE mu blue jeans, of seeing us all demoralized, by "in a hurry" near, sloppy clothes- Namaste. a forever fan from Canada- This was filmed 10 years ago? Where is John now, what is he doing? Is he well, etc- I know he went through some very dark times- what he said, when under the influence was appalling but he had problems he wasn't facing as many of us do, so I forgave him and still miss his presence on TV etc.
