In the 70s my friend in the UK had a husband who was the image of Michael Sarrazin. One of his contracts took him briefly to the US - needless to say he had all the women swooning over him --- and he met a very wealthy American woman and never went back to the UK, to his wife and children. What a schmuck.

Oh the 70's; the cars, the fashion and amazing looking people and films like this. Surely the dream decade of ever.

Peter Proud was a nice guy but his earlier incarnation was evil but it seems that his prior incarnation, was pushing this whole thing for revenge. Peter didn't want revenge but his previous incarnation did and inspired all the events that lead to Peter's arrival into this nightmare, with the objective of killing Marsha, his previous wife. Of course it didn't work out that way and Peter's kindness leads to his own demise. He really shouldn't have not got involved with his daughter from a previous lifetime, that might have also been a revenge plan from his previous incarnation. Well, that's my interpretation of the movie, which I really enjoyed. Michael Sarrazin made some really good movies.

As a teen, I sneaked into this movie at the local multiplex with a pal after watching another movie. (And I don’t recall that movie.) Michael S. was hot property for a minute. As was Jennifer O’Neill. Gosh, the sound track was hideous. The script was banal, the editing was atrocious and don’t get me started on the acting! But what a fond memory! So bad but intriguing….

When I was in high school, I read the book. Then the movie came out, so I went with Dad since it was R rated. Now watching it again nearly 50 years later and better able to enjoy what's good about it and also notice a few flaws here and there. Love the positive energy that Jennifer O'Neill brings to it. Also, the creepy synth parts. Sounds like an ARP.

Cayce is referenced in this film and he believed in dreamwork & reincarnation of souls. His written works are still quite popular in new age circles, especially during the 80s about unconscious mind . A new age thinker he was a actually a proper medical doctor and he healed patients in his sleep ! He is quite very famous at one stage as a quack doctor / healer. Bizarre film, but understand knowing is based about the theories of Cayce helps. Known as a sleeping prophet .

I saw this at the drive-in as the second feature of a twin-bill. I was 10. I am certain that my parents took us kids to see William Castle's "Bug" and were not prepared for what was to follow. Likely, they were praying that we would fall asleep. I didn't fall asleep. I am surprised that I understood as much of it as I did. Both films are deeply ingrained in my memory. (The filmmakers failed to give screen credit to Noah Beery Jr. - Jim Rockford's dad - as the Puritan statue.)

Why do I always think Michael Sarrazin is Peter Fonda? Didn't realize my mistake until credits at the end. 🤦‍♀️ Also, IMO Jennifer O'Neill would've made a good Charlie's Angel. Very good movie, and thanks for the upload!
