Gotta say i kniw everyone talks about the Marvel Universe and the Star Wars universe and the like, but imho the really best cenematic universe is the disney 60s universe. Where the paranormal happens but is kibda hidden ... you have the Gnomobile, blacbeards host, bedknobs and broomsticks, Darby Ogill and the little people, Mary Poppins, watcher in the woods, something wicked this way comes ,etc Magic exists but the world doesn't recognize it Want to luve in the weird 1960s wholsome world in which magic exists. And they are a kind of coherent universe if you think about it
Quack quack quack !!! And just when you think silence finally settles in, requack and more quack²....³ Man, this is super de luxe talkative. When you see the cast, you first think.... Hmmm, that has quite some potential. But once these two spinsters appear.... It's like the Pont du Gard crumbling down to dust in just like THAT....
I used to race home from school to watch this movie on tv. Loved it. Have been looking for Young and Dangerous for a long time. So glad I was able to find it.
My friend was keeping me company while parents went out. We lived in a 10' x 53' Magnolia mobile home w lots of windows on both sides. Of course, we turned the lights out to make it super scary, scooted up close on the sofa & settled in to watch. It got scarier & scarier for two 5th grade kids in the dark & when the guy comes down w the axe in his head & his friend screams, we heard noises outside the back windows closest to where we were REALLY terrifying us. The bumping & thumping continued, so we finally got the courage to peek out the window to see what it was. Two huge white eyeballs stared up at us & then it let out this huge "moooo," & we were screaming & crying like two boobies before we realized one of their cows had gotten out of the pasture & was terrifying us! I have never been as scared in my life as that night watching The Outer Limits! 😂
7:20 "pick up two yards from Capolli and a grand from Ricco" sounds like Rocky, same hand gestures as Rocky, and is even named Rocky -- how original! 12:20 looks like the scene from Jergens' office
10:21The Professor drops the champagne bottle onto the floor which he later says is carpeted. Why would it Shatner (oops, I mean shatter)? And even so, how would that have cut his hand? Kirk is also in the episode entitled "The Grim Reaper".🦹🏼 I also saw this in the colourised version.
Henry Daniell was in a few Sherlock Holmes movies starring Basil Rathbone, including "Woman In Green", where he played Professor Moriarty.🎻💉 41:24 25¢ in 1961 would be $2.63 as of 22SEP2024.🤑💲
* Possibly 2nd best grifter movie with The Sting being the best. BUT I loved the pigeon drop scene with Slim Pickens happily running home with a wallet full of $$$ including his just cashed paycheck only to find out at home that his wallet is just stuffed full of play money.
Noman Alden (September 13th, 1924 - July 27th, 2012) was even more talented than the infamous W. C fields, when it came to acting like a drunkard. (The latter of which never had to act as if he was.)
