❤️✨✨✨Geraldine Page ❤✨✨✨Ruth Gordon There were no actresses like either of them. Their personal mannerisms, and acting were top notch. Geraldine Page was truly chilling in this movie. One of my ALL-TIME favorite thrillers. 🎥🤩✨✨✨
@@robtw88 Then, I’ve gotta let you know-there were 2 great episodes of Night Gallery featuring Geraldine Page. And 1 ep of Kojak, and 1 ep of Columbo starring Ruth Gordon .🤩✨✨✨
Yes I wholeheartedly agree ! Both phenomenal actresses and favorites . I LOVED Geraldine Page's performance in the movie called ~ The Trip to Bountiful ~ made in 1986 . If you are a fan and you've not yet seen this movie I encourage you to find it/watch it. It was outstanding!
Thanks for sharing this classic Rob. Geraldine Page played a good psychopath her smile gives me the chills. Poor Aunt Alice she was so feisty. I Love Ruth Gordon she was such a great actress. My favorite character that she played was Minnie Castevet the neighbor in Rosemary's Baby. I've watched that one so many times. matter of fact I watched it again this past weekend on Tubitv. She won the Academy award for Best Supporting actress for her part at the age of 73 in 1969 and she looked beautiful and spry accepting her award and gave one of the Best accepting speeches ever.
I just love Geraldine Page, she was a superb actress ,everything she ever acted in was very entertaining. Ruth Gordon was a hoot.🤣💯🇨🇦x5 I watched this film. Thx.
Saw this movie as a young kid and it stayed with me for all these years. I was just thinking of it the other day but couldn't remember the title. You're on a roll, Rob! Please keep posting these creepy gems.
Page was also great in another creepy role as the headmistress of a southern girls' school during the Civil War, with Clint Eastwood starring in "The Beguiled" (1971). No spoilers, just watch it !
I must watch this film during the weekend. Thank you RU-vid for uploading this classic that I have been dying to see for years. Geraldine Page was a great dramatic actor of the stage and screen and memorable in such films as : Summer & Smoke, Dear Heart and another film in which her acting was superb. She played an ageing star with a young gigolo of a boyfriend, played to perfection by Paul Newman. His romantic interest in the movie was Shirley Knight. Sorry, but the title doesn't come to mind right now. I do have some of Ms. Page's DVDs at home and enjoy them from time to time.
I haven’t seen this since it was shown on TV about 50 years ago. It was such a creepy notion as a kid to think she belted them over the head and buried them in her garden.
You can even find some of the soundtrack from the movie available, here on YT-the songs that evil, Ms. Marabel said were her favorite-in that bossa nova style popular at the time. It is some lovely music. 🎶🎶🎶
YES! oh my word yes, I was thinking the same .......I noticed the violin also which was played similarly (style wise) for creepiness affect in movies of that era....one that automatically comes to mind is Twilight Zone The Movie ( last segment ) where the man sees the creature on the wing of the plane ....lol ......it was a very good sound affect to get through feeling across
Ty, Rob. I do not know if you take requests - here are a few - female on the beach - 1955, foxfire, 1955, college confidential, 1960, all the fine young cannibals, 1960, lovers and other strangers, 1970. TY
Ok, I'm almost done with this movie. Wow! Just one piece of advice, don't be cooking , like I was. I burnt the meal because I was so into this movie, I mean wow! But, now my family is upset.😂
@@ElSantoLuchador How so? Can you explain where it's antagonistic to women? Because I don't see it. It's just a movie with a malevolent serial killer, who happens to be a woman. Where exactly is the misogyny? So, movies with serial killers who are male are misandrist?
Very good film, but I do not think the title was fitting to the overall storyline. "Handsome Pines" may have been a more suitable title. Nevertheless, thanks for posting.
Alice was Ruth Gordon's character. That's why the mis-directed letter was signed, "Al", which handwriting matched the fake note to Alphonse, the back up gardener.
