Such a beautiful performance! Both artists are singing/playing at their peak, yet complementing and respecting each other. Bonnie's original is hard to beat, yet this is such a worthy performance in it's own regard.

It fills me with such sorrow, how clumsy we all are in our affections. If only we all had the capacity to always see our love with the same eyes thru which we first saw them. If only we could avoid taking one another for granted. If only we could hold on to the knowledge that if we want to be loved, we ought strive to Be lovable. Music, cinema, theatre, art, is so filled with the ache of our own shortcomings.

Every single time I hear Allison sing I get the chills, and Bonnie has been a favorite of mine for years and really can do no wrong. Her voice is beautiful, and she can play guitar and slide right up there with the best if them. I would love to see the 2 of them do a complete record together. We all know how good that it would be. Remember back 5-6 years ago when Robert Plant and Allison did an album together? Two completely different ends of the musical style and they made it work so well. I love it when different musicians get together and pound out solid music that can open the eyes to those people who may not be familiar with both styles of music. That is what makes Crossroads such a great idea and tv program.

I love the US! Especially this music connects us together, there is a tremendous pool of musicians with sunrising spirit for a better world. America and of course the UK provided us the best artists ever.

I once played this song to a special someone & he asked if this song was to “him?” I thought “yes”…but the verse at the time “no one can hurt me like you do,” didn’t match…4 months later that verse did make sense & the verse “keeps me holding out for you,” did & still does ring true! It’s been a year & half & I’m still waiting for “when you came back I felt the beating of my heart.” 💗💗💗

Bonnie performed this on The Tonight Show B4 Jay packed up his gig. It was totally relevant at the moment. Jay and Bonnie have been friends for decades. Bonnie is about as good as there is in music, as singer, slide guitarist and songwriter. Seems that as she gets older her voice improves. like a fine wine! Its' a shame that the state of the music industry today is so poor.

We are still listening so I hope the music industry has gotten better but… I thank God for RU-vid. I believe these two humans were humming in the womb however... I don't know if it's fair to hold the music industry to that high a bar. Some talents transcend the description of marketable skill.

I looked up what women had won the most Grammys. Until resently with Beyonce taking the lead. It was Alison Krauss. It was surprising, but then again... not really. She and Robert plant have some Grammys coming for Their new album, which is fantastic. She will be on top again soon. This is a perfect song, love these women. My hero's....just perfect.

....emotion seems to spawn the greatest songs.....this is a song of anguish....the deepest sort of anguish at a love lost........what adds to the mysteriousness is that I couldn't find this song listed in the entire page of accomplishments in the promo....nor could I find it in the live concerts in some of the utube videos....almost like the subject is so sensitive, that it's shoved into a dark corner....

@rockymike100 Hi, Mike. I don´t use any mp4 player...why do You ask...??? Cause after downloading You got HQ-but in mp4 format...??? You can change it in real HQ with the free prog. "SUPER". It´s worth it´s name...it´s REALLY SUPER !!! You can choose between 960:720 or 1280:720 as MPEG II file. But the best result You get with 960:720...1280 is to wide. Hope I could help You.
