In the event that this does play not in the TT+... I'll just reupload it, if it has nothing to do with the TT+ and Nifl. Also, this is definitely in the style of Three Houses.
@@mythoughtsexactly2145 it uses the same main instruments and the style of how the music prgresses during the song, I'd say. I also think it's definetly 3H's style.
100% agreed about the 3H part. My first question on hearing this was whether it's the same composer that wrote the 3H OST. I could go into detail if I really took time to dissect it, but to keep it shorter, this theme is quite similar in its logic, ideas, energy, and consequent feel. Here are some of the features that create this feel: - 3 or 4-section structure: the opening melody, a lower energy section where the brass steps back and lets the strings and woodwinds take the focus, and then a concluding section where the melody reveals the conclusion of the argument and then a linking section that brings down the energy level. 3 sections if you count the linking section as part of the concluding section, 4 sections if you count it as its own thing. - predominance of the 3+3+2 metre. - The orchestration featuring trumpet in its mid to upper register, sometimes doubled by strings. Fodlan Winds, Tearing through Heaven, Corridor of Tempest (I forget the exact title; the melody begins with an upward octave landing on a strong beat followed by a downward fifth, in the trumpet), and the Ashen Wolves theme all use this orchestration. I'm also trying to figure out where I remember hearing the use of string chords to mark the strong beats. - The use of piano is very similar. There's an occasional run/flourish in the background and a high chord here or there to add some rhythmic pizzazz - The melody of the third section has a surging feel to it, partly because it outlines and is supported from underneath by chromatic harmony. - The beat is very reminiscent of the Ashen Wolves theme, especially in the third section. I don't know much about electroacoustically generated sounds, but this track uses identical sounds or very close in very similar patterns - I don't have anything detailed to say about the harmony without careful analysis, but the style of chromaticism is identical to what I hear in 3H.
The part at 1:03-1:29 has a remix of part of the map 1 theme from book 1, nice throwback. Now that we have randomised music in arena I hardly hear the original track anymore.
They recycled this music for the final map of the new Tempest Trials Season that arrived today! They also reused the TT+ Menu and the Final Map Boss themes from the Ice and Flame Season!
Looks like the second half of the year in all future years will use this music for their Tempest Trials. So first half will be standard Tempest Trials, and then the second half will wrap up plot points from previous books.
@@rhymeswithmoose228 oh my bad never ment to implied that Kirby music is bad but I guess I did word it that way by accident and yes Kirby music is great, so I'll fix it
The reason I like Nifl so much is because her art is by the same person wh is worked on Devil Survivor, if any of you know that game. When I first saw her it brought back such nostalgia to those games.
The 3h direction seems to really have caught the fancy for the music director of the series. I do like the blending of traditional instrumentation with more modern ones
Know what maybe sucks about this? We might hear it only in this TT and in the MHB. If it doesn't enter the pool of music that can get randomized when we play AR or arena, we might almost never hear this.
Sounds like the three houses composer for sure. They put WAY too much money into this character for them not to be a mythic. 2 animations, top notch music. Top notch artists, a well known voice actor. Everything screams "we're hyping you up, y'all better go for this" and it's working for sure. I'm saving orbs bro.
@@supermariorick OMG THANK YOU,IS SO COOL! I love her desings and her music. Moreover, is the first Cavalry dragon. I wish the Flame/Fire God was cool too, because Hel is a god already
@@NotThatUser maybe he didn't know that or he's new? But he should turn off the Enemy Phase music, it doesn't feel good to hear it when such good music is playing as background map in modes like this Tempest Trial.
Fans: "Three Houses is great, but can we get _another_ full-fledged new FE game?" IS: "You've had another full-fledged new FE game at home for 4 years now." Fans: [opens FEH] "Omg you're right holy shi-"
Kinda weird but the flutes in the background remind me of a sped up version of Sensual Seduction by Snoop Dogg. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MGNZsttQaxk.html
Well...they recycled both this music and the boss theme for Ice and Flame II Tempest Trials! I wonder if they'll recycle the two Soundtracks for the third Tempest Trials
They recycled it again for Ice and Flame III, but it’s okay because not only this slaps but now you can listen to it while admiring the amazing muspell art
Idk about Fjorm and Hrid but i see it for Laevatein and Laegjarn because those two are not legendary heroes. Come to think of it neither is Surtr, Ylgr and Helbindi. Most OCs are Mythic/Legendary nowadays so its kinda strange. Then again Alfonse and Sharena arent either.
@@FellMaria I think Ylgr and Surtr were meant to be Legendary but a huge earthquake hit Japan and IS needed money fast so they quickly made those two into a banner.
@@antonykun9940 kinda sad. But in a way I'm glad that Surtr wasn't a legendary because...oof I don't want to think about Surtr's Menace II with a refine and probably a good B skill like Crafty Fighter or something like that. Though Ylgr not being a legendary is sad since she feels out of place compared to her siblings.
I think it's not like people think TT maps are undeserving of good music, but more like they complain(?) about the maps are end way too fast that they can barely enjoy the music.
Hilary Sze thats fair. But I do gotta say that they always put a lot of effort in the map design so it comes at no surprise to me, that they will pay attention to the music. I wish we could revisit a lot of TT maps as well, for music and design wise
@@Tama_the_Hisuian_Zorua honestly we'll probably hear this theme anyways on the eventual Nifl MHB (and maybe Muspell's MHB? Though I think they'll make another song for him) so we'll see by then...
I went to bed without knowing anything about this datamine and seeing this + new OC feels like a fever dream. No room for complaining while I'm jamming tho
I suppose the fact they haven't really called these story add-on TT's by one consistent name that this title is about the best you can do. At least it pops up pretty quickly just with "feh tempest trials music"
When I heard this and saw who I was fighting, I was both hype and intimidated at the same time. Then I threw my 15-Dragonflower +10 Legendary Marth at her like LET'S GO xD
I guess we could also get the Muspell cavalry dragon in the August TT+ due to the series being called Fire 🔥 and Ice 🧊. This is giving me major 3H vibes with the music and I like it 👌
Someone said that this would basically be how a Three Houses winter map would probably sound since the sound directors for Three Houses did this song, and it makes me mad because we went to the Kingdom where its said to be cold, and snow, and we didn’t even get a winter level 😭
Am I the only one who got Devil Survivor 2 vibes from this song? (Which is... very fitting actually, since the artist that made Nilf's illustration is the same one from that game).
I already saw alot of people going about how they hate her, because we already have enough female feh OCs. But in all honestly, I could't disagree more, nifl is by far one of the most interesting OC in heroes desigh wise (atleast for me).
I'm interested how you find interest in her design, personally her design and poses are boring and obvious "horny bait", but I'd like to understand why people like her.
@@bluegallade I mean, she’s sleek. I give her that. But the whole “snowflake bооb window, ice cold kitsune waifu” schtick is boring. And those gloves/stilettos definitely rip me straight outta fantasy. Wonder where she got them 🥱
@@b.s.8292 The cloak is cute I'll give it that but everything else looks straight out of a virus ridden flash porn game/ad. Her legs are bendy straws half the time.Is her leg melting in the default art? The skirt is creepily short. Her heels drastically change proportions. Even reading through the datamined script she's another arrogant god/bitch.
@@bluegallade well to begin with, Im not looking at her as "horny bait" or "porn game/ad" honestly. I think her design is not something you see too much on fire emblem characters, it felt fresh to me. The first time I saw her, I dind't even believe she was a fire emblem character. My two problems with her however is her shoes, because what the hell is that? and her dragon form that looks kinda eh. Also, I guess yune have a kind of similar design, but on her case, its boring
Well, it's not like we have a dragon girl with fantasy-color hair, cloak and mini-dress before. Only this time she's an adult, thankfully. As for her designs, I agree the shoes are very strange and her design could have been a bit more elaborate, but beyond that I think she's fine
I think book 6 will be the finale with all the gods in asgard. We have seen all 9 realms: Askr, Embla, Nifl, Muspel, Hel, Ljosalfmeir, Dokkalmeir, Nidavellir, and Jotunheimr. Plus, them introducing the gods in this TT+ makes me feel that as well.
@@amaanb1923 What are Nidavellir and Jotunheimr in classic Nordic tales, if you don’t mind me asking. Because I doubt they had the concept of steampunk back in the ancient times.
I swear I've heard the tune that plays starting 1:21 somewhere else in the game. EDIT: It's Winds Of Askr apparently. Strange that's the song they chose to reference and not Return to Nilf.
