Because the plan view is glued down to a curve, doesn't the curve make it difficult. Or is the curve so shallow it doesn't matter? You said something in the video but I didn't quite hear it. Excellent video. Thank you.

Yes there is a small foreshortening that occurs but for our purposes it isn't a concern. This process is mostly about achieving 3 dimensional visualization. That said foreshortening is something to keep in mind as the experiment showed when we compared the two models.

This is an awesome tutorial and everyone should learn this along with lofting. The best demonstration I’ve seen on boatbuilding on ground level unlike all these others I’ve spent and wasted my money and time on over the years and I’m talking about these famous names that live on their own boat building planet. Thanks again for keeping it as simple as possible.😊

In the days of cigarettes, use to blow smoke along the side of half models and watch the flow of smoke to see how the smoke would slide or curl past them... that was coffee break entertainment

Excellent skill with your hand tools, don't see much of that anymore. I was wondering, what kind of glue/spray glue are you using?

I'm using 2P10 medium gel cyanoacrylate and accelerator and 3M Super 77 spray adhesive.

It would be best to keep your off cuts to glue the other drawings to. You have to double sided tape it back together, but then you know everything is square and perfect.

I do that with models that have more extreme shapes. This one was pretty easy to keep square.

I don't expect you will find any plans that are geared toward building with reclaimed wood but if you head to you local used bookstore and browse through their nautical section I expect you'll find all sorts of material to work from. What you choose to use as your source of wood is up to you. Best of luck.

There are many factors in creating an amazing design. One plan I found which succeeds in merging these is the Denelle Boat Builder (check it out on google) without a doubt the most incredible info that I have ever seen. Check out this unbelievable website.
