I love it when people talk on point, no words wasted. Talking to carry informations, especially in specific guides. Strangely the best guides have often a speaker like this one with a hard akcent like india or russian style. Most guides are trash because you hear instantly a veeery slooow voooice talking very chilled about the topic and the guide about wheatfarm placement takes 26 minutes. Very effective and sympatic voiceon point to make guides, you have a talent to do this, you should use it in your life. Love it how "Schnaps" is the same word in english like in german.

@playless Namer i agree with everything except about the slow talkers. there are some great guides out there where you are presented incredibly useful information but the talker is slow. this is where you can use youtube playback speed setting on 1.25% or even 1.5%.
@@quakeru sure its not all about the talkspeed but i hate it when there is a specific guide and the vid is 15 minute long. When you call your vid a guide then have a little concept and bring the informations you wanna share. Everything else is a letsplay.
Great video, so concise and clear. I'm a huge Anno 1404 fan and have just bought 1800 this week (I only recently got a proper PC that I can play on hehe). So I've got less than 10 hours in but I am loving it so far.

Anno 1404 is my favourite in the series but I like the advanced gameplay of Anno 1800 better. I would like to see another Anno game based around 1400 era.

Same though 2070 is a close second for me loved eco vs tycoon. Still sad ground combat is not a thing anymore loved how you needed to explore to find out what minerls an island has.
Nice tips! Im gonna replay this game , but this time i want to perfect production chains and beauty. The downside of the game for me is that when u get to the point of having too many islands, old world and new world, too many quests and stuff to manage, zoos, wars, routes, ship wars... It gets so demanding that i loose interest. I Hope using more tips will make my endgame a little bit easier

I can totally understand what your are saying because I too found myself simply overtasked with just too many things to do in Anno 1800. The key thing which helped me was not trying to learn it all in one go. But playing many different games and learning, testing one aspect at a time. Once I learned how to open up the game with a perdect start it was easier and also once I learned how to deal with the pirates for example. You can see all this in the videos I have posted in that playlist. Keep playing and keep learning it will end up being easier.
Thanks Mate. Just bought the game a few hours ago and absolutely love it so far, but it desperately needs a tutorial. So many things are not explained well or not at all. Like, the "Each Warehouse acts as a teleporter for ressources"-thing, that was the one thing massively holding me back because I tried connecting industries that made no sense connecting. Maybe they are explained in the campaign, but they must know that if there is no "tutorial"-button, 90% of players will jump straight into sandbox.

na I always reset when I restart after updates, I'll get 2/3rd's into it then forget about it, but mainly because my old HDD failed losing all saved data, I think 2070 I completed mostly just not any multiplayer only maps, almost completed 2205 and anno 1404 + Vience campaign back in the day, so been meaning to do a full playthrough of them eventually 🙂
Updated whole PC since then and yeah it was on a backup drive so to speak, it died when I dropped it, 20 years of memories too, first and only time I dropped a HDD 😐
@@scorpios_corz Ouch, yeah, that is why I now use a free software tool which lets me designate folders to copy automatically from time to time to other HDD in my PC.

I know. For me the AI is the greatest problem because of it fake production and income. I really dislike AI which just cheats in order to be better than the player.
I bought Anno 1800 at cybermonday with all DLC's, I never played a game like this before it was my first time. Guess what happened? I heared the following sentence EVERY DAY at least 1 time!! "You have been playing for 4 hours, time to stretch your legs". This game captivates me

Yeaaa, it easier when you populate lots of island you get the conqueror bonus which gives up to 200 free worker of each class. I use this to set up a new island with goods to make, no house or goods to keep. Charter everything to the main capital where I used the goods or transformed it. I have a location where it’s heavy industry. The logistic of it it’s complex because the setup takes a while, but once you get it moving it’s easier. However for some reason the Artic and Embessa don’t work the same way so those you have to build from the grown up

You don't want to move the steel works to your new island. Why? Because once you electrify, the steel production rate becomes double. That way you only need 50% of the workers to get the same amount of output from the steel factories. For example instead of needing 400 workers making steel, you can get 200 workers to make the same amount of steel by using the oil or gas power plant. For this you need engineers

Moving production chains is a complex operations because it disrupts workforce balance and goods trade between islands. Because these guides are aimed at new players, they are better of learning the game while using simpler production and workforce setups. I have played Anno 1404 and Anno 1800. I loved both of them but enjoyed Anno 1800 much more. For me, building ships and establishing trade routes is the most fun part - but all the other stuff like building, setting up production chains and expeditions are fun too.

I just don't understand why my carts from my red pepper field are traveling across the map to deliver when there is a warehouse right next to them. My first built lumberjack now also travels for 20 minutes to deliver to a steelwork when there are 5 warehouses and another lumberjack in my foundry area...The carts in this game are broken. Thanks for your video btw. The ratio part helped a lot.
Hello MeHaveDonut and welcome to my channel. Do note carts will try to deliver goods directly when the production building in question doesn't have enough resources at hand. You can prevent this from happening by cutting the road connecting the two buildings. Since resources teleport warehouse to warehouse you don't have to have the whole island connect with roads.
@@MeHaveDonuts If that warehouse isn't used to stockpile supplies used for export/import. And another thing you can do is to connect a warehouse with two roads at the opposite parts of the building so that they just touch the building. If the two roads are not connected directly the cards from production buildings can go on to the next road.

Did yoou know that you do not need a marketplace for the higher tiers? Only farmers need that marketplace for trading, and rarely so. Soon you will have shops in all houses at street level, and all citizens in that neighbourhood will do their shopping there. :P

I doubt this will get a response, but do you know if the items still teleport between warehouses? I don’t think it works anymore. I think islands have their own inventory now.
Hi, this is an active channel :) I think you didn't get me correctly in the video. Seperate islands - seperate stores. On the same island, all warehouses share the inventory.

Hello Jee Nius and welcome to my channel! I can relate to that, as I had the same impression after my first two failed attempts to complete it. It's a ladder. You have to learn one section at a time while failing and only after many attempts learn the entire game and win. This is partly way I made several tutorials and guides and then stopped because I needed to play A LOT more to make proper, good tutorials about the mid and late game.
