Hey Phil, love your channel. Don't let these haters even get a second of time out of your videos. I think you and I are around the same age, and I've found through life that I have I don't have time in my life to let things I can't control affect my day. I'd rather give that energy to my kids or whatever is a positive influence in my life. As someone just about to start getting into the detail business, I truly appreciate your videos, and your videos have definitely made me better. Cleaning with pure water systems for commercial window cleaning for years, I've noticed DI/Pure water will have a tendency to create a more hydrophilic effect (sheeting) on a clean surface free of coatings. In window cleaning that's actually the goal when you're cleaning using only Pure water and a brush. The hydrophobic surfaces (beading) tend to leave a little residue that's more common in direct sun. Sediment and carbon filters before your DI tank can reduce the minerals and particles that break down the DI resin quickly. Surprised I haven't seen any setups with pre-filters and RO before Deionization, which in the long term greatly reduces the need for changing DI resin. Probably got a bit long winded there, whatever. Hi. Cool. I have some friends who clean windows and they use similar setups. for detailers, its not really necessary. I know a few detailers who do use a setup like you mentioned, but its only because their water is so bad they need it. but for detailing its overkill, cool but overkill. Thanks for sharing! 😎👍

In the end all that really matters is how your customers like their vehicle after you are done. I have been detailing for 8 yrs. and I like to take my time and not rush. I am not in a speed contest with anyone to prove how fast I can detail a vehicle. Phil, you and your wife are true professionals and do amazing work and I have definitely learned some things from watching your videos. The way that you speak and explain things are second to none. I definitely see maybe motivational speaking in your future, you are that good at speaking.

Hey guys, great video! Long time sub here and All ive got to say is yall do yall. If yalls methods work great for you then keep using those methods. Everyone works differently, learns differenly and does things differently however if it yields the same results or similar results and youve achieved the same goal I dont see an issue. Obviously yall have grown not only a detailing company but also a detailing chanel so imo id like to think your methods do work. They may not for everyone or someone else may not like them but as i said before they work well and achive the end goal.

Hey folks! Ive noticed on my personal vehicle that the water sheets on the bottom of the doors just like that too. Tried everything like you've said, and it still sheets slowly. The rest of the car beads like crazy. The only thing i came up with is the bottom of the doors take a terrible beating from the elements. We have road salts in the winter thats pretty abrasive. I dont have d.i. water, so i can't try that. My solution was to put Gyeon WetCoat on it, and im happy. As far as slow goes, i think im in that camp! Lol. Im no speed demon. I pick up very good tips from your channel, so dont listen to the "arm chair" detailers out there. Good work. Keep it up. Hi wife.

Hi. Thanks! Yeah on daily drivers that take a beating like this just topping them each time helps keep the beading fresh. I love spray on rinse off ceramic sealants like Wet Coat.

I always hate doing a decon wash in the sun because I it is just me working and it takes me to long. Your processes have helped me a lot and thank you for teaching processes. Phil if you're a business DI water is a must. Makes such a difference. People get so bent out of shape. At the end of the day we're all just washing cars at the root of it. Of course we're all detailing, but you know what I mean.

Hey Phil and Wifey, just wanted you to know I enjoy the channel very much and have settings set to alert me every time, but I found this by accident. Didn’t get a notification. I hope all is well, I just wanted you to know. I did double check the settings. Also, I kind of have to fish around for different uploads. My primary profession is swimming pool design and sales (like the ones on TV) so I’m on the road all the time. I will have them on just one after the other in the car. 1, I enjoy them and 2, I hope it somehow helps. It will pretty much play the same handful, and you guys have tons on here. I can design a dream pool blindfolded now, so I do look around and watch a lot lol.

The other one from Ethos with Graphene is RESIST, but D3FY has that wonderful blueberries scent 👌👌👌 Like in mathematics, order of operations don't necessarily affects results, so Detailing methods aren't also written on stone and one should just be careful on chemicals usage.

Hi. Thanks. So we don’t use strip washes at all. I find them to be antiqued. Stripping any protection on vehicle is done when we polish the paint. Nothing is left on the paint after that. There is no need to strip paint of protection with a soap or anything. As far as wicking check out products like P&S Finisher, it’s a peroxide product that neutralizes cleaners and prevent a “browning” or what some perceive as wicking. In most cases It’s actually the cleaner oxidizing and it looks like the stain returning. But sometimes after over saturating the seats or carpets the stain is so deep that it keeps wicking up, basically you have to dry it as fast as you can with fans and when it’s dry and it still as a small wicking stain on the surface you very lightly clean just the surface and don’t extract or over saturated the surface again. We have found Gyeon Fabric cleaner to the best in cleaning the surface without having to use an extractor and make it worse because of wicking. Give it try. 😎👍🏼

It’s because I still get Detailers who are confused by those things. When I have people come here for training they bring up questions and methods that they see others doing and I have to re teach them. It’s not so much me, it’s how it misleads and misleads and misinforms others.

I never apply coatings in the sun. I know there are some coating companies that claim they can do that, but I wouldn’t. There’s too many variables and issues with heat, humidity, dust, and other things that could mess up the process. In shade under cover outdoors…yeah that could be done safely enough with pretty much any coating.

Can koch chemie SF be used like every 2 weeks as a pre rinse on ceramic coatings. Or would it degrade the coating. I’m undecided on active foam and super foam. 🤷‍♂️ what’s ur opinion? It’s so confusing 😂 thanks!

Hi. It wouldn’t need it that often especially if you’re cleaning it every two weeks. I would say every 3-4 months with the super foam. For bi weekly washing you only need a gentle soap. Go with super foam and use it sparely every 3-4 months.

It hurts my hands more than it helps them. My hands sweat and I get contact dermatitis, they will get red and crack and bleed for months. I’ve tried all sorts of methods. I only use gloves for coatings now. So for washing I just rinse my hands all the time.
