The beep would only happen on cars equipped with an alarm, it means you have armed the alarm. Same with the red light aka the heartbeat, it blinks when the alarm is on. Probably 95% of 2nd Gen Mini’s don’t have alarms, I’ve only ever worked on 2 that have alarms

The only warnings lights Mini has for those is low oil pressure (red) and coolant temp too high (yellow, red). Sadly no gauges factory on these cars. Usually when those lights come on there is already damage occurring

Car on lift symbol means it needs attention/service. If it’s a yellow version it’s usually just service If it’s red it’s usually saying there is a fault that needs to be fixed immediately

You need to scan it with an actual scan tool. I recommend using the foxwell nt710

Numbers on left side are odometer. Miles on right side is miles since the warning initially showed up

You have to fix whatever the issue is. If it’s still present you still have an issue or LED lights that need to be coded out

I’ve had a total of 6 Mini’s. First 3 are really solid, one has had several super expensive issues like ecu failure, clutch broke, etc. amongst other electrical issues. Last two are new to me, one of those two is getting scrapped, the other I’ll be keeping and is in good condition. It really depends on the year and model, people love 3rd gens for reliability but they aren’t as fun as 2nd gens. Just look at the service records for your car and have it inspected

@@zevisgarage yes my pedal is also firm but I got the battery changed and the starter and alternator checked but it won’t turn on

Also when I go into info and what not it shows the car being jacked up in the air or raised up in the air

Brake light usually means low brake pads. The sensor may have been tripped, or possible low brake fluid level/service not reset

@@zevisgarage ok thanks, i thought maybe you could disregard the issue but i guess not. i have ccid 128 & 130 which are highbeam malfunctions in both the left and right, however i replaced my head lights and they seem to be working but the highbeams have little power. they look dimmer than the low beams. have you ever seen or heard of this issue before, and do you have any suggestions? i have a base mini cooper 2009

@@razielreyes it might be a wiring issue, sometimes the connectors get burnt and melted

I don’t know about a first gen like yours, I feel like they would be mechanical as in you physically move it. If not I recently found mine if I twist the knob more it will fold the mirrors in

My airbag light doesn't off my screen... Its keeps lighting always

Lol no, it was a slight mockery attempt at Mini owners who look over the car and still miss an obvious bulb

When you cycle through the menu and do the CCID part it will show you on the same screen. Just tap the BC button on turn signal again and you might see another warning or it will just say next or something

It means that’s how long the warning light has been on, as in how many miles or km

Sometimes the warning will stay if your footwell module is failing. I had the same with my countryman, I replaced bulb but warning was still there. Had more issues and replaced FRM and warning was gone. That being said sometimes the connector or housing gets melted and also causes the warning

Only displayed for a few seconds...yes the problems are still there. By it disappearing most people just see the triangle instead of the actual warnings leading to that

You need to use a scan tool with mini specific software. I use Foxwell nt510 elite

Personally for me I use a Ultragauge that plugs into the OBDII socket. Plug and play with your selection of options in the menu

Do you have an LED bulb somewhere where you shouldn’t? If everything works correctly and within spec the light will stay off

I actually had to cut out part of the video for the walk around, for some reason on inspection I found the license plate light was out but it weirdly enough wasn’t giving me a warning for it. I’ve broken part of the rear handle getting the bulbs out
