What to witches do? Get started by following this easy daily plan. Of course, you can adapt it to fit your own personal routine. These basic Wicca exercises can be done by witches of any level, not just beginners.
I've also included some witch quotes from the book The Spiral Dance, such as:
"Magical training varies greatly from coven to coven, but its purpose is always the same: to open up the starlight consciousness, the other-way-of-knowing that belongs to the right hemisphere and allows us to make contact with the Divine within. "
"The beginner must develop four basic abilities: relaxation, concentration, visualization, and projection."

I don't know how many Tauma Survivors there are in the Pagan Community, but they may experience more failure than most when attempting these exercises. The solution for us is not to "try harder", but to try other techniques. I'm not saying this to be critical of what you are saying, but - hopefully - to add to it. We need special help and accommodations because our brains have been damaged. It's really hard to find Spiritual Teachers who are willing to believe this and work with us. Usually we are accused of failing to visualize success well enuf. It's alot like the judgement some of us may have received in Church. I hope you can receive my comment as reaching out both to offer _and_ receive help - as it is intended. Blessed be. 🌎🌬️🔥💧 🔭🌕🔮🔬

Thanks for sharing your experience. Magic can't always heal the changes created as a result of trauma, and like you said, it can even do more harm than good. But there is a growing number of Pagan therapists who specialize in forms of modern shamanism, including shadow journey, soul retrieval, and other healing tools that can be a useful step prior to exploring Witchcraft techniques. I would absolutely recommend soul retrieval if you can find a practitioner who's qualified. It changed my life in many ways. Some people have multiple retrievals done if needed. It has helped with the shame. I hope you find your way, and wish the ultimate best for you in life.
