Always hoped they would put in an event for the community. Where the shores are being attacked with multiple bosses in the ocean. All towns being attacked. Major towns requiring sieges, smaller towns requiring less players to defend. Elvia realms same thing. Turn ins of crafting and gathering items that are only gathered and crafted during the event. Would bring the community together and give you that guild feeling. Something for everyone.

PVP is great, as long as both parties are into it. I'm old, I can't PVP, so if you attack me, it isn't PVP, it's ganking. As such, I don't care for PVP and wouldn't care if BDO removed it totally, outside of battlegrounds. An attitude I really hate is the idea that if I do one thing, I'm neglecting making silver for progression. I play BDO to have FUN, not to accomplish one particular thing. Getting the absolute best gear is a goal I may someday meet, but having fun is more important.

This was a great clip to watch and it also comes with Shaky posting in the forums... the problem we are having is that NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS ARE POSTING IN FORUMS and places were PA can see it.. the Devs from PA will never watch this clip... we need to start getting people to post there thoughts in the right places for PA to start paying attention.

I agree with more Group PvE Content. Why not make it a gear score requirement for players? Dungeon X Y : 600-625 GS, Dungeon X Z : 625-650 GS. something like that to work towards it, you get achievements from it. Upgrade mats. Etc.

By design Arsha is not a pvp server....wtf? Arsha is a pvp server, hence no penalties in Arsha pvp. The dec changes where made to where if you want pvp open world, go arsha and keep it off the main servers. I completely disagree dec changes shouldn't have gone through, but I get why they did it. They have decided to cater to new players, a geared player will never be able grief now, and if they do grief that grief dec will never come so the new player can karma bomb and he will go red. So the new player don't go through that bullied out of a rotation experience just cuz they are under geared. They lowered all caps to make it easier for newer players to get into NWs, AoS is another piece of content where a new player has a "balanced" experience. They made the decision, that people that have been playing 5 years will continue to play 5 years because of all the time they have invested. However the new players are not sticking around so they are catering to them. Gear now is only to progress into deeper grind zones or "better/exclusive" PvE content, which hopefully they improve. What they are doing and its plainly obvious, they are opening content to newer players so they can experience all of BDO there is to experience and not have to wait 1 or 2 years to even begging to think about doing some uncapped pvp content. Which is leaps and bounds better than saying...hey this part of the game you will never be able to do because you are soo far behind the end game players you will never catch up. Continue to expect capped content to be prevalent in the game cuz in order for the game to survive it has to happen, game has been going far too long and now those people that have that gear are unreachable. I suggest 100% more guild, group content, guild raids like attroaxion would be a 100% win. Where you need 40-50 people to raid and do mechanics. Having those split by tiers where geared players can get more rewards out of that, absolute win for both sides. It would give the new player something to strive for and possibly introduce the new player to a more stable welcoming community in game where the guild as a whole is participating in engaging content aside from just node wars. There isn't enough engaging guild activities in the game especially PvE. The game has been out too long to not have that. IF it is true that PA dose not want BDO to be a PvE dungeon running game then don't also punish people for PvP. Encourage PVP content like AoS. Make AoS 500-800m an hour win/lose even practice, you can't make it so only winners get rewards because that will lead to some nasty team stacking and people will run through matches in 3 mins and the mode dies. We just need PvP content that can rival atleast midgame money income at some level. PVP is the best part of the game and you get punished for actually playing it because instead of fighting 4 hours in AoS you could've been 3-6b into your next upgrade and you feel like you wasted your time playing AoS. So the excitement dies and the mode dies with it.

AOS Ranked 3v3 really needs to be treated as content with a real NOT rng reward. Same for boss rush getting a some how better rng box doesnt feel great.

My experience of g vs g content was getting ambushed while life skilling in between grinding from some ass hat that declared on my guild

Pvp content could include other rbf style games. Take a page from Smite tower defense 5v5 1 lane. Build off that. Capture and defend points. Id take a bloody prop hunt at this point.

I love how he is like "i only play PvP in the game". Yeah dude, i have friends who are exactly like that and u know what they do? They go on Arsha and u know...do PvP. Or do Node Wars, Siege and mutual guild wars. And these are only things u can do in the open world, not even mentioning Battle Arena, Red Battlefield and (sometimes) Arena of Solare. If u don't do much pve, then what exactly changes for you, other than that u can't farm low geared people for no reason on normal servers anymore? What a joke of a person.

Shaky please name ONE other MMO that rewards you for open world PVP. There is no "there is no content for open world pvp" bro open world pvp is open world pvp you can't add content to it. What do you want a 1000g gold bar every time you grief someone at blood wolves? Other PVP systems should DEFINITELY give you more loot. Getting mad because PA doesn't force gearlets to open world PVP is wild. Game has lots of PVP content just needs perma AoS with better rewards. Listening to him complain about "arsha is a drop rate server" right after he talked about killing ppl grinding is wild. Bro just kill the grinders on Arsha tf are you talking about. The real issue with open world pvpers going to Arsha is they run into people with gear and realize they are shit at PVP.

I agree with Shaky bay. OPEN WORLD PVP is dead! Plus new players is to scared to get out there and face someone to test there skills. BDO will never be the same like it was in 2016-2019.

2 more Arsha worlds needed. For people who actually want to PvP and grind

@imPansy, you should get with other content creators to push PA to implement daily arenas. With rewards for winning and losing, obviously winning gives more. These rewards can be used to buy elixirs, potions, draughts, etc that are PVP specific and not craftable because you have to utilize the arena system for these items. Implement a 1v1 and 3v3 that is best of three. Click to enter the arena lobby and random opponent selection that is within your gear score brackets. This means a 700gs isn't paired against 550gs. It can be a simple GS check before clicking the battle button, over/under that bracket will deny entry. Include a 5v5 arena as well. Each arena can include daily rewards too. Being in the same guild doesn't matter, jump into a random party or put your own team together. Look at the RBF, so many unused servers because it can be a cancer-gear check-fest. Just an idea.

Shaky mentioned in a video this year that lootscrolls are a old concept and i agree. I dont like to farm less or farm without gold LS or grind pollys season for LS. And its really hard to make it the perfect game for everyone as u said in 19:33 dont know if thats possible tbh

After watching this, my perception of Shaky just went from full of agenda sus to collegiate expert on military strategy for BDO and willing to support life skills not as a bribe. :D I like it, GJ!

I haven’t been playing for long, but from what I’ve experienced from other MMOs is having rewards that are PvP specific is a big part of why people PvP. Give rewards for having OWPvP kills, have a huge event filled zone that is always PvP and gives rewards for winning events. Will people kill trade to get rewards?…Yes. Will there be meaningful PvP?…Yes.

as a man who has dumped a disgusting amount of hours into pvp, there are very few games that actually care about it. so i can't agree when shaky says most games reward pvp

i was about to pick up bdo again until i saw the new personal realm change. for me the game is way too isolated. to me nothing i do has any meaning in the game

Not sure why you featured Shakybay to talk about “end game PvP” when he does nothing of the sort.

Most of my open world pvp experience is one tapping or getting one tapped. Neither experience is fun or engaging for “pvp content.” The only other interaction you get with open world pvp is griefing… Open World Pvp is basically trash.

Id love for lifeskilling and node empires to be relevant again. For someone that doesnt get much playtime such as myself, the passive income would be sooo good for me. Im actually fiending for PvP content but Its a challenge just to finish doing the questing and logs when you only have maybe 8-9 hours a week.

If anyone played Guild Wars 2, This game have the most PVE content ever in any MMORPG and in sometime they have their own PVP world vs World which is huge world and pvp are dynamic which every faction fight for points and loots. This WvW the best feature suit bdo..the world is huge and if they made these server were siege is continuous 24/7 the game will expand so much. WvW should not base on gear, it should be same gears for everyone but skills matter and tactics. This will make new bdo from its own game. They should learn from successful game and do same!

shakey and other pvpplayers like him are a total minority in bdo, most people play pve or lifeskill...no wonder PA made the game more fun for their core audience and dropped the ball on pvp content

OWPVP = bullying low GS Timmies. For real PVP theres Arsha. But people don't want PVP.

When I pvp i prefer everyone to be on an even playing field. Because then it comes down to skill not just oh i grinded 300 more hours and finally got a lucky enhancement. Open world pvp is for grifters that dont want a real fight. That being said i agree of course that open world pvp shouldnt be forced. They should just make the flag up button be the only way you can hurt or be hurt from pvp and then give it like a 5 minute cooldown so people cant just switch in and out of it and still grief people

I don't think they should've done marni + Karma at the same time. At that point why not just remove open world pvp. Only reason im pushing for end game is to hit thornwood for cash so i can get more money. Cant even clear people out your spot without becoming red. Farming at hour a primal for someone to farm over you doesnt feel good when you've been farming 50+mins for boss spawn. I'd like to be able to kill the person griefing farming with no buffs no crystals just trying to steal boss spawns.

Why isn't there a "good mmo" that prioritizes grinding & killing bosses for "materials" that require you to know a high level crafter to enhance your gear! There should be a mutually beneficial relationship between pve'rs & pvp'ers working together. Player trading not being a thing to try & prevent RMT is a terrible solution to that problem.

The problem is, that even if they added Open world, big high gs guilds would monopolize it again, so only about 0.5% of the games players would get that content, the rest is locked out by being oneshot. Thats the main Problem with OWPvP now, you cant have low gs guilds fighting other low gs guilds uncapped cause 1 730gs is gonna destroy the whole fight. The reason it was better in the past was because most ppl would have similar gs/ fighting power and the big guilds only fought among themselfes

Marni changes were amazing! Makes getting griefed less a great addition. Goad BDO is catering more to PVE players. The gear is so hard to get in this game and now at least people have a chance to grind without some gigachad rocking up and ruining it ,😍😂

You can still GvG... wtf is he on about. both guilds just need to dec. so if people really wanted to PVP and if GvG was so fun, people would do it. But they don't. so it aint as good as shaky says.

I think they need to rework their server system, servers for solo grinders that only want to do that and can't flag up on those servers and than actual pvp server and than still have the arsha server

When you can get on ashra server with full manos and travel all around the map and not die there's your answer

Shaky just sounds like he's always crying about something that he actually supports. The reason why so much of the playerbase left was because of toxic pvpers. He only complains about responses and fixes to toxic pvpers. Life skillers have to pve to life skills and sometimes pvp. Pvers had to pvp to defend spots. Pvpers have to grind money pveing to pvp. Making players do more of what the game is rather than just 1 of those 3 (simplified) choices makes the player base as a whole more active. Back when i started world pvp consisted of someone whos grinded for 20 hours a day vs me who could play a max 2 hours a day and camping me at manes. Most pvpers 'interacting' with other players was always griefing others.

That's literally me when i got my final pen accessories. I thought i would enjoy the game when i got everything but it was just bad. logging in just for node wars and i dont even grind anymore since i have nothing to grind anymore.

Sadly these changes came to console to, it ended all pvp in a single fell swoop 😢

Its been proven you cant please every one, have a definition of what your vision is for the game is and triple down on it so you can make it awesome, spreading out too thin is gonna lead it into the dumpster, the pvp Community is way bigger than ppl think, but if they keep advertising the game for this and that but in reality these things are neglected no one gonna stick around!!!!

New players didn't stay long enough they quit so that why kratuga ancient ruins getting nerf. They need to add rewards for any pvp and if anyone get killed in open world it's part of the game.

I actuallly think WoW had a good system. Permanent Pvp servers. Can’t do that in BDO, so people who go to Arsha are just looking to gank instead of the organic pvp happens in wow. So you can just pve on normal Servers and go to Arsha if you want to gank, which is kind of lame compared to permanent pvp servers. It’s more about the culture and meta of being able to swap channels.

I think BDO is unnecessarily SUPER COMPLICATED & catered very much to solo gaming. I hope they create a hub where we can all gather and do fun UNCOMPLICATED quests and raids and stuff or just talk to each other.

Give us new lifeskill tiers beyond GURU, and give us 3k mastery.

i think one of the biggest issue is its compled gs games u dont need skills/combos ,80% gs and 20 % skills its better to focus 80% at skills/combos and only 20% gs .End content starts with 280+ or 290+ ak and thats a lot for new player and all good drops/items are 700+gs spots like Dehkia's .

W shaky take again, I get insulted and called a no lifer on arsha for randomly killing ppl all the time, if you don’t like pvp stay off arsha? Lol. AoS is nice but it still needs work, Rbf and wars are still dope, but again timed events that are also capped, pvp rewards are basically non existent, and we don’t have enough permanent pvp game modes, we need bgs like wow with a ranking system and rewards, and a rated system for those where you build team comps, and have organized battleground gvgs, If they even handed out small amounts of silver and a token system to exchange for pvp rewards, like elixir boxes and food and pvp crystals etc, for competitors in even casual battleground versions that are available 24/7 it would give a huge boost to their popularity as a game, And community support, I know many veterans and people who quit that would return if they launched this type of game mode. And it would also attract more casual pvp players too. I’ve been saying this for years. Also give us a bounty system and infinite negative karma, but no gear breaks just mass silver loss, and make a few red/jail zones where everyone in these zones abides by this system, and it’ll make open world pvp more rewarding and more entertaining for both parties.

I can't see pvp being the main part of BDO as an MMORPG. It's just another immersive piece of content in a supposedly living, breathing world. I can also be a very competitive player and dive into the pvp systems of different RPGs, but ultimately, it's not supposed to be competitive or even fair. For a pvp fix, there are games that focus entirely on pvp and do it much better with nigh 0 barrier to entry. It's also not like they don't bring out new content for endgame players anymore.. look new region couple weeks ago, c7+ buffs are also not really for new players. Neither the 1-5 BIL crystals. Even with shaky mentioning wow and all the other RPGs catering to their pvp playerbases, do they really tho? The vast majority does pve in wow and pvp has the same tryhard players for over 10 years.. That being sad I'd be all for bdo having a 1->3->5 wins RBF daily that would give you 100->200->300 crons per win. But that would have to go hand in hand with making RBF a good experience. Balanced enough for the avarage player to enjoy it. I think farming strong gear and then owning noobs is a big part of what makes pvp in an MMO great and motivates to grind as opposed to conventional competitive titles, though when you are just getting 1 shot through super armors.. it's too much. Also I'm not sure about this war of roses new pvp, over 100 vs 100 makes me think it'll be a slideshow almost like world bosses..

Won’t the karma system effect lifeskilling? Especially for red players..

As a permared I can tell you these changes encourage more red players, reward blue griefers at grind spots and mob feeders, and prove PA have no idea what the pvp community wants.
