⚫F Black Pour Homme by Salvatore Ferragamo | Pop'd The Cherry 🍒 

I've been wearing this for about a week straight after not wearing it for a while. It's a good "entry level" fragrance. Fragrances that are in this price range are nice for getting an idea of what style of fragrances that you like, and then you can go out an up the quality. I like it. It's not amazing, it's just "okay".

Very nice scent for the cost,. Blind bought this and was not disappointed. Yes it was over hyped but worth every penny IMHO. I do enjoy most of SF scents thou.

For the price, it's worth it but it's not a cheap scent that smells expensive tho. I have a well-used bottle but when it's gone, I probably won't re-buy. I personally prefer just the Pour Homme version. That fig and cedar dry down really works for me. Good review.

I love this scent! I remember Chad from AGentlemansJourney was the first RU-vidr to talk about this fragrance. So your beef is with Chad Mark for starting the hype lol.

Good content that you are producing! Keep it up! You are different from others who usually say "buy, buy, buy..." It is very useful to know which ones are a waste of money.

i think its been on my shelf for about 7 years and it still looks full, its not really bad, but i dont reach for it .

I tried hard to like F Black, but after 6 months of wearing it a dozen times or so, I said enough is enough! I tossed my 30 mil bottle in the trash. I couldn’t get over this “saliva” note it seems to have on my skin.

Reminds me of my drives to Vegas from Arizona in the fall. Just brings back memories I like it.

I got this in 2011 and did not buy a second bottle. I love it, but I don't like fragrances that are over-hyped. The first thing that came to my mind when I first tried it on was Coca-Cola and Bubblegum. The main thing I loved about it is that it got me many compliments, especially on dates. Now, you can get better fragrances for that price, like Oud 24 by Ard al Zaafaran, Cavalli Uomo, Gourmand Leather and Intense/Dark/Exclusive by Zara, L'Uomo by Gianfranco Ferre. I see it as worth the buck if you don't mind others smelling like you when you go out nowadays.

100% Spot On Review!!! I started to question my own lack of appreciation for this scent & didn’t understand why it was getting so much positive press this winter from a number of RU-vidrs, but you nailed exactly why I was so underwhelmed. Thanks for confirming that I’m not the crazy one.

Being a starter collector I blind bought it last year seeing hype.. not a bad fragrance but sharp opening is the biggest let down. Overall do not gravitate much as I have better scents in my collection.

I bought this because it was popular and hyped and I know the house makes good fragrances but this one was just too loud and I polished for me. I can see where it will get you compliments but I just did not enjoy it.

I liked the smell, but performance all round is crap on my skin, so I now use it if I have "company" coming over and I spray my bed sheets it smells good and fresh, but I don't ware this anymore, I would not recommend this frag in less it's for a kid going into high school

You explained this perfectly, Marc. I got this back at the beginning trying to get my nose on as much for as little as possible. I liked it then, but now, I rarely reach for it. When I do, unfortunately, it's disappointing. I'm happy I got it when I did and wear it (occasionally) as a reminder for where my nose was at that time in my journey.

As far as Last Nuit de L'Homme goes...nah. This (SF F Black PH) actually reminds me more of Patrick Dempsey's first Avon collaboration Unscripted. It has vetiver and leather not so much tonka but it has lavender and violet in it's heart and a well blended spice punch up top. Unscripted was a great direct market release for it's time (aughties) and was more deserving of hype that F Black PH. I have F pH, F Black pH and F free time. I like SF as a house these were not as great as SF pH or the Acqua Essenziales but they were decent enough and solid scents. Good dumb reaches for work class PTA etc but I do agree it was overhyped. smell swell & be well, JR xox

I got no more room in my closet for bullshit fragrances even if it's cheap enough as a blind buy. I appreciate you exposing the hype. That's why I like your videos, you spit truth! Also that video intro and music is the best!!!

I hated this for the first couple of days. I smelt powderyness, alcohol and pepper. I was literally thinking it would be going in the bin. A few days later, I really like it. I first noticed my liking of it when I was working out. I am now picking up the sweetness which I really like and I didn't detect when I first tried it. I've not had it for ages, but there is something that reminds me of 1 million with it, I think it's the sweetness and spicyness.

The quintessential review Mark. Literally my thoughts exactly. Always felt this one smelled unfinished. Metallic sweet lavender-pepper water - slightly sour to my nose, but a decent starter for the price. Had a hard time finding my 30 mL bottle on the shelf if I'm honest. But there are warmer days that it smells a bit better for some reason. Mid spring seems ideal.

Bought blindly and very disappointed with this scent, it confuses me as I do like something about it but I also dislike it too. All I get is the scent of parma violets sweets from this, and occasionally baby wipes too and old women. Very strange scent indeed. Definitely not worth the price or hype.

Before even watching this review, I highly doubt you're gonna like it for a multitude of reasons one being synthetic. . I personally like it, its synthetic as fuck, but it has great performance for me and smells nice in the air when people get a whiff. For me it works very well in cold weather, and is basically a pepper lavender bomb with some nice tonka/apple sweetness to add something appealing to it. It's like a darker boss bottled or something... Id say the closest synthetic bomb to this that you actually liked was hynpose. That one was more sweet and syrupy, where this is more pepper lavender.

I hate this scent, to me it's a powdery mess. I gave it quite a few tries, but ended up giving it away.

I tried it and its very bad. You realise immediately that IT lacks quality big time.

Yup that stuff is total shit. So synthetic and piercing that it made me nauseous to wear it. Got rid of it quick.
