Unless you have a 60 under a 7.0 and ev of 85 or higher and good arm velo by the time you’re a sophomore do not go to a showcase it’s a waste of time. You’re basically paying money to have coaches write you off their list of recruits. Do not go until you are ready , unless you get personally invited to a showcase. And no perfect game and pbr mass emails inviting you do not count they just want your money. You can still get a good evaluation from real games, they will go to games with players that are star recruits and if you play good they will take note of it and place it online. So don’t worry, Showcases aren’t everything, I’d still recommend going to at least 1 so when you email college coaches they have something to reference other than just your on field play they saw or recruit video you sent them.
Your the most helpful online, and IRL baseball coach. And thank you for this video, because I've never played baseball or known anything about baseball, and for my first season I have to tryout. Thanks for the help. #KEEPUPTHEGOODWORKCOACHRAC
I just went to a showcase for highschool players ( im a freshman this year so i was in 8th grade the school year of the last ) and i was by far the youngest player there the next youngest being a dude going into his junior year😬 It was fun but also scary😂
I’m a pitcher and have been injured since December and just got released last week. I then got hurt again lost a tooth and busted my lip and I come back the day of tryouts so I’m very worried I’m not prepared. I haven’t been able to run and field for over 2 months. Im very worreid about the 60 and fielding. Im a pitcher so im not sure if I need to be worried. What should I do?
Tbh, idk what a showcase is lol, I’ve never done one (is it bad that I don’t know what it is?). I’m just going into high school next year, so am I too young or do I just suck? ☠️
Want to play college baseball? They don’t care that you hit 300? In high school. They don’t care you hit a double in the gap in front of them. You gotta run a sub 7 second 60, have a 95+ exit velo, and throw 90+ from the outfield.
Here’s the truth. Showcases are done to get money for the team and Majority of the players there think that “exposure” helps. If a coach is going to give you an offer there gonna cut the BS and get straight too it. This guys been a baseball fanboy his whole life it seems.
Best at my showcase 6/8 live no hits , scooped 6 balls out the dirt at first, realized I was making them look better than me never got a call back. No errors just not a big first baseman. That’s when I lost baseball
