Our house was built after my husband's house got blown away in a tornado. It was supposed to be temporary, so I designed it for resale. When the economy went crazy, we decided to stay. So now, I am personalizing it to be our forever home. We are currently adding cabinets to our mudroom and laundry. That is my era.

I know some like gas stoves for variety of reasons, however, if you don’t have a preference, the induction cook top or stove is very easy to clean and work well for heating quickly and cooking evenly. The only issue, you’ll need the appropriate pots and pans to cook with, it needs to be magnetic.

I have been decluttering every room in my home as well as my seasonal items. Driving to my daughter's home tomorrow to have a community yard sale. When I return home doing some heavy deep cleaning in all my rooms. Then I will be working on my front porch and tackling my yard. Thank God my yard is small. I used to own a large estate home with 7 1/2 A. I want less as I age.

I'm always trying to declutter and organize as much as I can get away with. My husband is very much the "we can use this someday" type of person. I used to be but am wanting to have clearer spaces. I'm all about pops of color. I have like blues greens in the living room and mint green and Tiffany blue in the kitchen. I really need a new sink faucet, so I think all my silver accents in the kitchen are getting changed out for black to give some depth and offsets.

I mop my floors with vinegar and dawn dish soap and live it. I looked up what wouldn't strip the wax off if these tile floors throughout NY apartment and it recommended the vinegar and dish soap. It really cleans then and have put it to the white sock test ❤

When you showed the stove and said how much you despise cleaning it i felt that so deep in my soul i had to pause the video and come comment. I like you HATED cleaning the gas stove. It was my least favorite part of the kitchen to clean and since i can’t go to bed with a dirty stove, every night for about 30-40 mins i would literally remove the grates and give them a good scrub along with the stove. Oh how i hated it so much because no matter what you cook stuff splatter, food falls in between the grates etc.. My entire life iv only experienced gas stoves till i recently I moved into a home with an electric glass top stove and when i tell you it has been a life changing experience. I literally get so excited to clean it and it only takes me 1 minute to clean. 2 wipes and DONE!!! It make’s cleaning the stove so much more easier and i can never go back to gas stoves with grates again! Never ever so if you really hate cleaning your gas that much it just might be worth investing in a Electric Glass Too stove! Trust me you wont regret it!! Its the little things that make life so much easier.. 🙌🏽🤸‍♀️

I feel EXACTLY the same way about cleaning my stove - despise it bcz of the amount of work it takes to wipe it down after each use, some of the grates will rust a bit bcz of the tiny holes water drips out of, cleaning the individual rings and not over spraying on the igniter switch, oh and getting in between each knob... 👎If you ever try StoveGuard let us know (I might order one and give it a shot) We've still got a huge list of things to do to this house but, want to get out of town this summer a few times for fun. We'll probably only tackle a few of the top loose ends. Regarding my style right now - we definitely need to paint and lighten up the ceilings/walls so I'm working around that old grey. I'd say we're on the modern glam vibe w/charcoals, whites, honey golds, pops of cobalt blue, and a bit natural Mediterranean in a few other rooms. P.S. the rug corner sticky's are working great - thanks for the recommend.

Your home looks beautiful as always .❤️ Your paint color is pure white, does that include ceiling and trim? Also are they different types of paint, like eggshell, flat, ceiling paint? Is your kitchen runner rug machine washable? Didn't see the link.

Thank you! Yes, all the white is pure white including trim, cabinets and ceilings. It’s all eggshell except for the cabinets which are some type of lacquer. The runner isn’t machine washable but cleans easy with a shampooer

Even the ceiling is eggshell? I went to Sherwin-Williams and I said I wanted to do that they told me that it would show every little flaw there was on the ceiling do you have a really great ceiling or is the guy wrong?

Do you have a place to go if a tornado comes? Here in Louisiana we really don't. Had a bad storm today with watches and warnings. Always makes for anxious moments. Sure loved your video.
