This time we have an intermittent CEL (Check Engine Light) while driving the vehicle. The CEL is a result of a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) triggered in the engine computer when something goes bad or is out of the range that the computer is programmed to read as normal.
DTC's are a clue as to what is wrong. Not always the answer, but a idea where to look and what to look at. Just throwing parts at a problem when you get a DTC can get costly and lead you right back to where you started fast. Investigation is the key! The Innova 3040e+ allows you to do just that. Is it possible to have a bad 02 sensor without getting a code?

I would say yes. If a sensor is degraded but still sweeps and the readings are inaccurate. As high as mileage is on these older vans it probably would be reasonable to replace the O2 sensor anyway.

Perfect video! It looks like the type of your old upstream O2 sensor is a narrowband right?, and you have replaced with a narrowband sensor as well. But I think you have a mistake by replacing the downstream with the same type, unless you have already know that, the old one was a narrowband! How did you decided that the old downstream O2 sensor was a narrowband, since it can't be measured through the scantool?

Not sure what they were. I replaced the parts with oem equivalents and it got the job done.

Hi: my car oxygen sensor replaced, do the smoke inspection. now no fault code, does the car have to run for 200 mi before going to the smoke inspection?

Once the codes are cleared then you have a period that the rediness monitor self tests run and complete. Drive around town, stop and go for a while then drive on the highway for about 15 to 20 miles. Then park the vehicle overnight and this should get you there.

Check the coolant temperature sensor on record with the engine cold.

My 2010 honda accord gave me that code p0420 before its the catalytic converters I changed both of them and it solve my issue. Don't waste money on sensors or coils its the catalytic converters.

I have 4 O2 sensors, should the ones after the catalytic converter see as much activity in the voltage section as the ones before the catalytic converters? Thank you

No, your bank 1 sensor 2 should b steady and not do what the bank 1 sensor 1 is doing. Typically 0.45v is good steady out of the downstream (b1s2)
